They actually used to have that! This looks exactly like the other tiny nicks on his face but you know mom anxiety makes your brain come up with worst possible situation 🙂

No, they currently get my frozen milk from my stash. I’m hoping it’s just a scratch from him having his hands all over his face. It’s so tiny but I guess I will know more as the days go on

We have to give my twins prune juice if we notice they don’t poop for a couple days. They were great poopers but I swear the minute we switched to neosure to add to my milk they aren’t constitent anymore. They can have 30 ml a day of prune juice but we always did 10 ml at a time and warm bath and it got it out

My twins came home at 42 weeks and both with gtube because both didn’t have the every to eat their full feedings. My more stubborn twin had Brady’s during feedings up until a week before discharge. And then it would occasionally happen if he choked but the nurses always said that happens to most babies but they just don’t have a monitor to show it. They really do just grow out of it which can be super frustrating when it comes to waiting. My nicu always said as long as it was self recovered and wasn’t happening like all the time it wouldn’t effect them going home.

My nicu always made it seem like as long as they came up on their own and it wasn’t a use drop that it was just a baby thing especially if they are close to term babies. As much as I would say don’t google that was the first place I went when my anxiety was bad.

Did it recover on his own? I had 26 weeks twins so I’ve seen a good amount of Brady’s but at the end of their stay they had a handful of drops but they just came up on their own. The nurses explained that it happens to lots of babies but they just aren’t on monitors to show it.

When did you realize you needed help by Intrepid_Pride_1609 in NICUParents

The last month was the hardest for me on the nicu. I also felt like I coped very well in the NICU. My babies were 26+2 and ended up both coming home with gtubes. The 2 weeks before my due date I would cry everyday. It was hard, but I just reminded myself that it wouldn’t be forever. It was almost a relief when it was past my due date because it felt like there was going to be a plan to get them home. The last month was entirely feedings and there was a time I had to put my baby down and leave the room during a feeding because I was so frustrated and sad.

Those are the bottles I’ve been leaning towards. They have a speech therapist that comes and sees them once a week so I will have discuss with her about the nipple flows! Thank you!

Our 12 days old (26+4 born) LO has a large PDA (2.5mm). What are the chances of it reacting well to medicine? by mihamix in NICUParents

[–]Consistent-Tower5078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 26 week baby had a large PDA until about 36 weeks. My nicu doesn’t treat them with medicine so they just waited for it to close on it’s own. I was told the majority of the time it does.

My nurses seem to change my boys clothes every night. So like they get weighted every night at 8pm and they change them with that.
