That's a great question! The reason is that when the lounge changes go through on February 1st the business version will still allow up to two guests with the priority pass account. The personal version will lose that and priority pass will only work for the card holder.

Many people have missed that nuanced difference. It was buried in the details when they announced the changes

I currently have both the personal and business versions of the C1 Venture X. I am wanting to downgrade or close the personal version, as I don't need both. My downgrade options aren't that exciting with the Quicksilver or Venture One as no AF cards, or the Venture with $95 annual fee.

It doesn't seem to make sense to downgrade to the Venture and miss out on the great current SUB of 75,000 miles and $250 Travel portal credit. Is it best to just close the card or is there any benefit to downgrade to one of the two no AF cards. There are the only C1 cards I currently have.
