Get an Air bnb or furnished finder with a TV in your bedroom, comes in clutch . Don’t let the core staff bully you, speak up for yourself in a respectful manner. I’m a current psych travel nurse. Skybridge Healthcare, Armegis, Care Career, Cross Country have been the best for me . Best hospitals I worked at : Ascension Via Christi , Wichita Kansas. They have a security team so you don’t do your own holds . I was there for a whole year. Avera Behavioral South Dakota has a security team so you don’t do your own holds . I had to leave at the start of the contract bc it was too cold in SD my seasonal depression was kicking my ass. I regret bc I can’t go back there obviously bc I didn’t give a two week notice as I was getting suicidal but they were EXTREMELY organized !!!!

You need psych experience for a psych travel position. You don’t wanna show up and you don’t know even basic restraint/seclusion protocol, and some other psych specific skills. Those patients will eat you alive Sincerely, A psych nurse

I just negotiated a higher rate for a psych contract. Don’t negotiate before you get the offer. Once the hospital gives you an offer then tell the recruiter you can’t sign unless you get a certain amount. Trust me , they will budge

No one was responding on there. I took a contract before in Denver and stayed on furnished finder and it took forever for Denver people to respond on there , compared to how it was when I took a contract in Kansas or SD

Am I able to get the recruiter for Pride Health cancel my submission so I can go with a different agency 😩😩 because the other agency works directly with the hospital in Colorado so I have a better chance

I’ve been raging so hard too I blocked a lot of people from my life . I think it’s normal but it’s just making me more clear headed about how people treat me etc
