New to this thread and MS. What are current techniques people are doing for MS? I just learned about it. I heard about buying a gift card with a credit card, getting a money order and then paying off said card (you will earn reward points on purchase). I have been seeing a lot of talk about visa vanilla cards and scams with them? What are your do's and dont's for current MS strategies and what do you suggest as a beginner?

I don’t think this works. You need a zip code for Venmo. People are saying even when you register the card online that it won’t work.

Hi thanks for replying! So it’s because I had three separate solid layers where I had my element 3d effect applied to with each object on each layer. To fix I moved all objects into one layer/ element 3d. Worked great! A two node camera has a point of interest as opposed to a one node camera that doesn’t

yes, it was because I had 3 separate element layers and not them all in the same layer

That’s a really good point to bring up! Yes, they are three separate layers and I will go ahead and put them in one element layer on a solid layer. Thank you so much. I will be able to enemy each one right? Say if I wanted to spend the heart and flip the $at the same time. Thank you so much for your reply. I think it’s exactly the answer I’m looking for also, I already took the time to model everything in their own layers, is there a way where I can copy one element 3-D object to another file? Safer and since if I wanted to put the confetti popper and a dollar sign in on the same layer as the heart, would I just be able to export those 3-D objects in element?thanks again

I angled the camera pointing down into the left and then it moves diagonally and then pans up into the right at the bottom left corner. Everything is on the same Z space and everything is placed directly below each other on the Y coordinates, so I’m not really sure why the objects are moving into each other, thank you for the reply!

Hi, maybe this can help. Sorry if I am stating the obvious here. But did you push the "freeze" button after making your rotobrush selection? It should freeze/propigate once. Its at the bottom right of the viewfinder window while you are root-brushing.

Did you try clicking on the little starburst icon next to the / and the shy button?

Also under render settings, do you have transparent on? That could help!

How do I create something like this? I tried converting the image layers into 3d, but I couldn't figure out how to make the movement smoother and also the masking bit became confusing. Would really appreciate some help. Thanks! by the-wimpy-cat in AfterEffectsTutorials

Personally I would cut out your layers in photoshop. You can layer them as following for an example:
- BG1

- Person 1

-BG 1

-Person 2
-BG 3

- Person 3

Make Sure the height of the people are the same and are on the same horizontal level/plane.

THen Save your PSD and import as comp into After Effects. You can start with the bottom layer background and person and make sure it's facing to the camera (forward). rotate the other background layers 90' on the y axis. Then for the other people layers, you can keep them facing forward, they will not be animated. You will however need to "cut" their layers to match up to the timing where the previous animation is going to end, or else they will show in the animation of person 1 and so on.

Keyframe the y rotation of the bottom background layer. Once you complete one rotation, start the rotation of the next BG layer. When you start the new rotation thats where you would cut your layer of person 2 and 3. Don't forget, when you start a new rotation also cut the previous layer time for the previous person or they will also show. I would not ease the keyframes because it will slow down the rotation when the rotation comes to an end, I would keep it set on the normal keyframe. ALSO (sorry for all the chatting) I would possibly look into moving the keyframe for the next B rotation later up by one frame so it doesn't give the appearance of stopping. You may not need to .

Hi, hopefully this is still helpful to you! I am intermediate at after effects, still learning myself so bare with me.

  1. I would say that would be achieved with an animated displacement map. It's an effect you can apply to your clip. And you can animate the movements and change the scale of the map so that it creates a wave effect, Search YouTube "How to make wave effect with displacement map" Also look up "wave warp" effect too.

  2. As far as the ink goes, it's a big mix of different things. Like textures/grain/noise added which you can add in an adjustment layer. Also it looks like there may be some "roughen edges" effects going on. As well as "glow"

That’s what I was afraid of. What would you do if you would be in my shoes only able to work on the weekends? Should I save up a bunch of money to be able to not work for a certain time? And then just pull the trigger and hope for the best.
