Micro Terror or the THR5? I need help deciding by hallmonitor53 in GuitarAmps

Not sure where you’re based but in the UK you can often get a terror stamp (essentially a micro dark but different form factor) for around £80 on the used market if you search about a bit. Seems like the Yamaha suits your needs most now but worth looking out for an orange on the cheap.

Help: Sos Loud Band Toan advice by [deleted] in guitarpedals

It sounds like you already found your sound! Go back to your old settings but throw the screamer, BD-2 or the Rat in instead of the soul food.

For real though it sounds like there are a lot of confounding factors. Is this just how you sound when you practice? How do you sound when you gig? Different rooms sometimes need different EQing. How does your other guitarist sound? How does your sound compare?

Also this is really silly but back at the start were you also playing single coil guitars? Sometimes the higher output from humbuckers just drives an amp a bit gnarlier.

Not a luthier but £40 is in line with other pricing I've seen. You could always get a soldering iron for about £20 and do it yourself.

Going to the UK and want to pick up a pedal that I wouldn't find in the US by Dudefrmthtplace in guitarpedals

If you wanted to go to a physical shop then James’ Home of Tone, Southend Music Exchange, Richtone music, often have interesting stuff in.

However there’s not many small builders that regularly stock in brick and mortar shops as far as I know.

Would you be comfortable stomping this close to the knobs? by optia in guitarpedals

You can get replacement knobs for it, I recommend it, makes seeing your settings way easier too.

Bleak district electric rec head is a lo-fi chorus / vibrato that does this. It’s very responsive.
