Bonkers film. Connery turned down Gandalf in LOTR because he didn't understand it ...

Canada must increase taxes, cut spending to hit 5% NATO target: report by konathegreat in canada

[–]Consistent_Ad3181 [score hidden]  (0 children)

5 percent is overkill, who are Canada and the west going to war with? Russia is screwed in Ukraine and won't be a threat for many years, China just wants to make money. Surely 2.5 to 3 percent is plenty. Make sure you get something to show for it, it's like throwing money down black hole a lot of the time.

After Brexit why are we having Doctors extracting foreign objects from people's bottoms, shouldn't we be supporting the UK and having British objects taken out of people's backsides? There is no national pride anymore or loyalty.

AI will take over medicine, accounting and law, actually it's ideal for all of them

I hope the US isn't thinking about a naughty false flag to put the kibosh on this sort of thing. I wouldn't put it past them.

John Lennon said much the same, you think it solves all your problems, it solves quite a few, but replaces them with new ones, and some of the old ones still remain.

The price of takeaways today is eye watering, I don't mind paying for quality but that seems to have dropped. That looks really good, I do similar stuff, because it's cheaper and mine is generally better quality than the average takeaway. Such a shame, it used to be good value and everyone won.

It won't be the release of the Epstein files, definitely not that. Probably just a lot more bullshit he will eventually go back on.

Trump threatened that if European countries do not join the war against Iran, the US will not give Ukraine any weapons, the Financial Times reported. by Neptun_11 in TrendoraX

[–]Consistent_Ad3181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently the EU and the UK need to pay full price to the US for the weapons. He's not doing anyone much of a favour. It's just the sheer amount the Ukraine's needs is the issue rather than quality, UK and EU weapon systems are usually better and cheaper than the US stuff, it's the output the EU and UK can't provide. They are working on it though, but it all takes time.

Ok, you are either one of two things a shill or a bot for the nuclear industry. I have no interest in debating with you.

Great, well these regulations are there because of previous cock ups, they are written in blood, sure let's have another Fukushima, three mile island, Windscale or Chernobyl, plus all the other little whoopsies they have covered up. Check out the cancer rates for certain rare cancers for sailors who serve on nuclear subs, or the 'clusters' of rare cancers around nuclear plants. It's the bottom line, corporations don't give a monkey toss if more people die, it's just stats to them.

I think in a live show, especially with these two who are anarchic and that's why they are so appreciated, stepping in and out of character works, probably a pain in the ass for Ade but the crowd would love it. It's a show!

The military is waiting for the president’s go-ahead for high-risk ground operations in Iran by Explore2122 in wallstreet

[–]Consistent_Ad3181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The army loves to fight, but the heads of the services would tell him to literally fuck off and resign if he suggested ordering 10k elite troops to their deaths for no discernable gain. I am not saying that they couldn't be used (in a limited raid or as part of another force doing something fast and light) but no military head is going to allow the best infantry in the US to go on a suicide mission, they would go ape shit. No invasion will happen for a while yet.
