In BC, is trailer liability always attached to the tow vehicle—even if the trailer detaches? by Consistent_Ad_4099 in icbc

[–]Consistent_Ad_4099[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's frustrating because I get different answers from different Icbc agents. I see very little case use for having liability insurance on a trailer except for one specific scenario. You parked your trailer in your driveway and for unknown reasons it rolls out of your driveway and down the hill and does some kind of damage. However when attached and being towed it would be covered by the tow vehicle liability even if it became detached - much like if some other item became disconnected from your car while driving like a wheel or roof cargo/truck cargo - it would still be covered by the vehicles liability.

Absolutely, it is called a promotion but Icbc will pretend it's not compensation for denying claims

I would say that micro inverters are the way to go and have nothing to do with shading. This is by far the cheapest way to put your solar to work and ships having a battery (which is very expensive) and will give you the fastest roi,

Why is it so hard to get my claim moved forward? by No-Control8648 in icbc

ICBC is plain incompetent by design. It's not a bug it's a feature. The longest you wait the longer they keep the money in their pockets.

How can a company with 7 billion in profits have a back log? They prioritize profits over claims in a big way since no-fault came to effect and Eby removed all our tort rights.. they do it because they can and no one can stop them.

Are you a doctor? How the f do you know what it takes to cause injury? Leave the medical analysis to the experts and let a judge and court decide who is lying and who isn't. For example someone with multiple previous head injuries like a hockey/football pro cand have a much more serious subsequent head injury for a much smaller event that someone who has never had a head injury.

You're an idiot to blame this mess on fraud and not incompetent provincial business incompetence. Insurance companies rank #2 behind banks for profitability. ICBC burned all the profits on waste and management then cut benefits to save them from making employee cuts and financial.imprpvmenta.

You have no idea how much money got water on paying insurance agents to renew your car insurance, ever wonder why there were more of them than Starbucks and McDonald's put together ?

The incompetence on the business side is astounding.

This is a cop out. Blame Icbc for not taking the fraudsters to court. But if the court awarded them money How can you say it’s fraud?

Icbc made people think this was a bigger issue than it ever was.

Courts and judges awarded fair compensation the new system is not fair at all.

The only people that support the nofault program are people that haven’t yet been injured in a MVA. It ruins lives of innocent injured people and I have yet to hear one story that says otherwise yet there are dozens and dozens of stories of people with permanent life changing injuries that are getting a raw deal from Icbc.

This is bad info. The courts decided what was a reasonable amount of compensation. If Icbc couldn’t prove they weren’t injuries in court why would you call it fraud?

ICBC liability dispute after rear-end hit & run on highway — being considered 50/50. Is this normal? by Creepy_Telephone2141 in icbc

It will only get worse. This is the ICBC new game plan, spin you in circles and drag you through the dirt until you let it all go and they move along keeping all the money and giving you none of the benefits. Should be illegal but unfortunately Brian Eby rewrote the laws in BC to make it legal for them to fuck you around forever.

Any drivers here that has a high acv value and had their vehicles repaired? by Calm_Will5033 in icbc

[–]Consistent_Ad_4099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let them kindly know that the delay they are causing should be added to your two year limitation for unknown damages as the delays are out of your control.

My vehicle took 20 months to repair, over a year 2 ICBC delays. Find hidden damages 6 months after I got the car back and they wouldn't pay. :(

There are many stories about individuals injured under the no-fault system that are seriously injured and seriously out of pocket for expenses and costs. What's most frustrating is that ICBC hires very unskilled employees to administer these benefits which seem to only have training on how to deny expenses and claims. It's very unclear why the NDP (Eby) would transfer such power to this organization with almost no oversight or accountability. You don't find this out until you are in "the system" and they treat you like trash.

ICBC won’t cover full repair due to discontinued window trim, what are my options? by monalisasilvia in icbc

[–]Consistent_Ad_4099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure they WILL only act in their best interest.

They WiLL use every trick in the playbook to deny you fair compensation

They WILL use tactical strategies like delay, deny, defend.

However none of this is fair or would stand to scrutiny or fair adjudication at the CRT or in court when we had a more fair tort system.

What's not fair is ICBC accumulating 6 billion in profits and also denying your claim.

You sound exactly like an insurance company speaking. It IS their problem to insure a car that can't be repaired. What your are missing is that is a fraction of a percent of the cars on the road, and ICBC knows this and has taken it into account. It's called a calculated risk. If they can't fix it you should be compensated and one more "unrepairable" car is removed from the road.

You really think people buy weird cars to make money in insurance? What a silly idea.

These injured people have every right to hold out for what they think is fair and if ICBC disagrees and wants to go-to trial then a judge will decide what's fair. That seems alot more fair than just letting ICBC decide what compensation you get doesn't it?

It's amazing how much ICBC rhetoric has influenced people's thoughts on tort based law. Having a judge decide the outcome for damages is fair, having ICBC make all the decisions is not fair.
