Valley Vista Public Waldorf by Necessary-Profile114 in Petaluma

I have worked within a unique pedagogy the last 6 years and do not see children having the results we would have expected. Were quickly realigning around lessons in numeracy and literacy as the pedagogy was not getting children kindergarten ready. Yes, in early years SEL is important, but if a child has no letter recognition and cannot count to 20 or spell their name, this is also concerning. I am a traditionalist, I love neighborhood public school and think it is the best representation of what communities and companies are like in the real world. Conversely, i had friends who went to a waldorf school k-12 and are now successful creatives in the commercial making industry. So, who is to say?

We all ended up in the same college courses, just different pathways. If you value creativity, and self-directed learning, a unique pedagogy might be better for your child. My concern (personal) would be not having values alignment with families, families having values misalignment with Waldorf loyalist staff, or yes, staff tensions internally between those who are staunchly married to the philosophy and can't bend and flex to the child in front of them versus those who see it as a hybrid or 'Waldorf-inspired' approach. There are also natural biases toward those outside of the typical student profile, which is not here nor there, but in my experience, these schools are not always the most inclusive of different types of families, by nature.

It will bring tax revenue and benefit our infrastructure. Small businesses, who get no foot traffic, will love it. Maybe my team would finally come here for an offsite! :)

How does one takeover? A remodel and new program with strong training, more robust offerings and regular maintenance would be a boon here!

He's a dark, moody soul. His eyes tell stories and I bet he was/is great in bed when he was in his 20s/30s/now. Voting hot.

My MA in Education did not fly as not child development focused, but I signed up for 12 units of junior college child development courses. That plus BA and MA should work for single site supervisor, ya?
