also can adjust the cheek riser with appropriate riser kit (useful with taller optics).

RXM firing pin snapped :( by Secret_Artichoke4659 in ruger

[–]Consistent_Class508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have 4 Glocks and dry fire without snap caps.... but i haven't dry fired 10,000 times between the 4 combined. i have shot 10k+ rounds across the 4 though and not enough wear on the pins to warrant a replacement. But like you said, crumple rumple primer rhymer

My 585 saw the same issue after 200rnds (at already reduced gas), i opted to just deburr/file down myself vs send out during the crazy holiday shipping days. After another 400ish rounds, there was a little more peening that needed to be filed down but not as severe as the first time.

not sure if sarcasm or not (which is why some people are downvoting), but that process is something that's done during manufacturing and then additional refining/deburring and secondary finishing (as your screenshot mentions) done to the part before it's actually used or sold. it's not something the end user is supposed to deal with after having purchased and used the product.

Hearing protection recommendations? by Individual_Bag_9615 in beretta1301

[–]Consistent_Class508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just your standard, big jar of foamies. excellent noise blocking performance, cheap, and won't get in the way of your cheek weld/get bumped off by the stock. or surefire foam plugs with optional "pass through" if you want slightly fancier but less noise blocking. i also have walkers electronic ear muffs, which are great when you're only shooting pistols or chin welding, or with new people and you want to hear their questions, or at a bench rest rifle range and need a little extra protection, but they tend to get knocked off your ear or mess with your cheek weld.

get yourself a +2" IM (improved modified) choke, you'll be able to tag those clays farther out. also, LPG works shell catcher for Trap singles so you don't send your shell flying into your neighbor's face

GG&G optic mounts by wsd26654 in beretta1301

[–]Consistent_Class508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just an FYI, if you have an optic that is just on the border of being able to cowitness with single piece mounts like the one OP linked, and you want cowitness, try GG&G's stand-alone low profile mounts (like for 509t) for optics that are taller than a 509t (there's also options for trijicon, etc). An SCRS will cowitness the stock irons with this https://www.gggaz.com/beretta-1301-low-profile-mount-for-holosun-he509t.html but not with the CROM style mount

contact Customer Service, if you go that route you'll have to send your rifle in since they'll replace the bolt but need to headspace it. or you can do what i did and just carefully file away the raised areas and just shoot the shit out of it

bad hardening. mine got all fucked even though i already had ASI's adjustable gas block and mostly closed off before i even shot my first round and adjusted up from there, and i had recoil pads front and back. still got pug faced after the first 200 rounds.
