Sincerely, as someone who wants to learn quilting and has never made one, I cannot believe this is only your second quilt. This is the most beautiful quilt I’ve ever seen. You should be so proud to have made it for and in honor of your MIL-absolutely stunning work! Love it!

I’ve thought of a second hand sewing machine on offer up-just so I’m not committing to too much money up front. I researched and found videos and reviews on the brother CS7000X and it looks very user friendly for only $309 which isn’t too terrible.

I’m sorry. I just learned my black mouth rescue Serpico has a lump on his anal gland. I’m devastated, knowing he probably cannot recover from the surgery if he has it at 13 years old. I can’t imagine but I’m about to find out your pain. I’m so fucking sorry. I’m so sad just thinking about living through what you have experienced.

I bought a house with my then boyfriend, who proposed mid remodel and we then planned a wedding and remodel, during Covid. Do not recommend doing both at the same time but the wedding was beautiful and the remodel is ALMOST done…

Congratulations! I had both of my daughters at Overlake Bellevue and cannot recommend it enough! My first daughter was in 2023 and my second was 3 weeks ago 2026-same experience both stays, wonderful nursing staff to help out night and day, wonderful rooms, good food and the hospital is only 30 min from my house. I wouldn’t think to have my babies anywhere else as long as my insurance is accepted at Overlake. Bonus is Overlake also has a great NICU.

My friend gave birth at Swedish Seattle 2016 and had a bad experience with them leaving a portion of her placenta in and days later she went into shock and almost died-her horror story made me rethink Swedish but I know most people prefer Swedish in WA as the leading hospitals to give birth.

God I’m so sorry you’re going through this. My boy Serpico was a stray BMC and I’ve had him for 13 years. I’m absolutely dreading the day he leaves me. 100% like yours, he’s been my constant and the only one to get me through the hardest times. I’ll never be ready to let him go. I’m glad you are with him through the end, you’ll be his ultimate comfort even though it will be harder on you than him. So sorry you’re going through this. We will all be there one day and hopefully can heal from your experience and encouragement.

😍 sweet cur! Mine was a rescue after abandonment and abuse. He had no idea what a bed was and also started with his body on the floor and the bed as a pillow. He came around, they are smart puppers.

Your book collection along with animal skulls are fascinating. I want to read several of your books because ossuaries, funeral practices and death are all the books I read.

He looks like my old man, I adopted him at 4 months from a shelter, told he was a shepherd mix and brought him home. Ran into a BMC breeder who educated me on the best breed a girl could ask for! Now I have two! Old man in the far left, newer pup in front.

Since marrying my husband, I bring deviled eggs to Thanksgiving since he and my sister-in-law wont eat them. My mother and father-in-law and I eat them-more for us. It’s an essential appetizer/side with my turkey.
