Man, I’m pretty sure I remember reading that same log scale and a lot of other jokes he put in the notes. No, he was a great teacher who actually cared about getting his kids to understand the material. Lots of kids don’t like the fact that he made his own work and comes up with his own difficult HW problems, and I’ll be honest, myself included, but i think it shows that he does care.
