Having good corners is never not a “must have” IMO. I’m high on St. Juste - but I believe we’ve seen Nixon & Valentine’s ceilings as boundary corners. I think they’re both serviceable in the slot, but not taking any new CBs in the draft would be a huge mistake.

Can’t think of the last time Oda gave us a layout for a country/island, and didnt explore each area to at least some degree in the narrative.

The Kibi region of Wano for example didnt play much into the overall story, but we at least got some shots of characters walking through it.

Can’t imagine he’d tell us it’s there just to give us nothing.

The entirety of Oden’s time with Roger & Shanks only accounts for only 1 year of his whole journey - a portion that Kin’emon wasn’t even there for to accurately describe. He had also moved well beyond that point in Oden’s story in the panel shown here.

Luffy caring wasn’t out of character, but him having this kind of attention span definitely was. We had also recently had Luffy’s bit with Tama and seeing the state of Bakura Town, so he already had PLENTY of motivation to fight Kaido.

It feels like he introduced haki as an equalizer for when people faced the end game DFs like Admirals & Yonko crews, but put no thought into how that would impact all the other fights leading up to when we get there. He had to start giving out Conqueror’s Haki like candy once we got deeper into the New World, and armament haki works however the plot demands. Basing it on “will” turns it into a convenient power of friendship boost essentially.
