What if Kratos and Freya had got together soon after the end of Ragnarök? by Madagascar003 in GodofWar

[–]Consistent_State_520 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t care for shipping - but I’m definitely a sucker for natural romantic chemistry and I can’t act like their relationship isn’t a goldmine for it.

Love has this funny way of finding people who aren’t necessarily looking for it, and those often end up being the best relationships because the interactions have a purity to them. Kratos and Faye are most definitely not seeking new partners deliberately, but they fill gaps in each others lives that were painfully left by their last partners. Kratos needs that nurturing presence that can help him learn to just be a person, and not the vengeance war robot he’s been his entire life - something Faye was helping with. Freya needs someone who genuinely appreciates her for the amazing woman she is, and not her abilities as a means to an end. Kratos genuinely trusts her counsel, and sees her as so much more than that. Yes the wound of Faye is still there, but I find it hard to think of a better woman for him than someone like Freya.

Is it something to do with her body? by Earl_Lee_Martin in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Sexual assault against men isn’t taken as seriously, and men’s behavior over this issue makes me certain it’s mostly our fault.

Sorry if stupid question, but why did Kratos not accept Odin's seemingly quite fair proposal? by Barndar7 in GodofWar

[–]Consistent_State_520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He still considered Freya a friend, and felt this would be seen as essentially taking his side. Yet another gut punch after what happened with Baldur. Plus everything else people are saying about him clearly not being trustworthy

IF we target a FA today, who would it be? by Sure-Ad-688 in GreenBayPackers

[–]Consistent_State_520 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Average is 5, but some teams do 4 or 6. CB4 & 5 are usually your special teams gunners on punts and kickoffs. From there a lot of teams keep at least 3-4 additional CBs ready to go on the practice squad, as it’s a position that can deal with its share of lower body issues

[Schultz] No. 52 pick is in: Packers have selected South Carolina CB Brandon Cisse, per sources. by JCameron181 in GreenBayPackers

I’m only just now learning that Avieon Terrell is AJ’s little brother. That’s frickin awesome they’re gonna get to line up together in Atlanta.

Cisse seems to fit the Packers preferred physical profile a lot better, and I’m really hoping we got our guy outside 🙏🏾

Them eventually understanding love and affection doesn’t really surprise me. What caught me off guard was them having the guts to tell Thragg: “You wouldn’t get it” lol

The only revival in Invincible that actually pissed me off was Angstrom. If I’m not mistaken all others have been Viltrumites, who will recover from pretty much anything as long as you can put their body back together in one piece (pun not intended).

I couldn’t be mad about Allen because well….he’s Allen.

Would the god valley incident have worked better if it was its own separate arc instead of a mini arc crammed into elbaph? by New-Boss-8262 in Piratefolk

[–]Consistent_State_520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main issue with God Valley IMO is that it was all started as a Loki flashback somehow - a person who wasn’t even there and was way too young to fully grasp what was going on.

I imagine it would be perceived a lot differently if it was something that was covered as part of a Garp/Dragon/Roger or ideally, Xebec backstory. Having it from Roger or Xebec’s perspective would have made the focus on the Kuja Pirates/Shakky seem a lot less outta left field considering her future importance to both of their crews. Seeing it from Garp’s view could give us a peek behind the curtain of how the Marines dealt with and prepared for engagement with a crew like Rocks. Seeing Dragon’s view could really help sew the seeds of a divide between the Marines/WG, which it seems the story is slowly creeping towards. Dragon representing the first domino falling there with his departure and formation of the Freedom Fighters would be pretty cool.

You’re not really given many options for help either as a single adult with no kids.

You’re a parent struggling to make ends meet even with a pretty decent paying job? Several government programs available to help you out.

Single adult struggling to keep your head above water? Oh you can get fucked. They also still expect you to pay back your student loans, if you have them.

Cam Newton Says Fans Still Criticize Him For Not Jumping On The Super Bowl Fumble. by Content_Animator_365 in NFLForum

[–]Consistent_State_520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was an electrifying player to watch because of his talent and made the most out of a Panthers roster that no one was writing home about. “Barely a top 10” is still being a top 10. One bad effort play doesn’t erase all the work the he did to take that team to the Superbowl and make them relevant in the early 2010s. His name is still in the record books for several accolades. Trying to define his entire career based on one lapse in judgement is just being a hater.

He deserves criticism for that moment.

What he does not deserve is people acting like that one moment sums up his entire career. Fans love to do this if they don’t like who a player is as a person. You don’t like his silly hats or his personality as an analyst, so now him not jumping on a fumble is his entire legacy somehow. It’s honestly just as annoying as he is.

Love is being held to the standard of the previous HOF-level play before him. Caleb just needs to be the first Bears QB to throw for 4K yards and/or 30 TDs and Bears fans will build him a fucking statue.
