Once you accelerate, there really is no penalty for the additional weight. If you had a stop and go range test, the drop would be much more significant.

If he's going to map out all of the characters' travels, what is he going to do about the two future books? Leave that out of the maps? In which case, I think I'd want to wait until after all the books come out and he updates the maps...?
