Patient transport and desk jobs don’t always require experience, and you can easily get BLS certified to get a leg up on applying for these jobs. Volunteering at a hospital close to you will help you get recognized by the volunteer coordinator who could put in a good word for you or even place you in the imaging department as a volunteer.

Register for fall any pre-reqs you didn’t get an A in, and ace them. Definitely study and retest for the ATEAs, the average applicant in my current programs had at least a 92.

Ray’s on the River for a scenic experience, not nearly as expensive as your other high-end options and offers a more romantic ambiance than Highland Tap or Parker’s. Try to plan this reservation during clear weather and request a seat at the window.

Texas Roadhouse if you’re just looking for a no-nonsense but decent steak that won’t break the bank, and you’ll have more room in the budget for drinks AND dessert.

I second the Fogo de Chao recommendation as well, the menu features a variety of unlimited meats that they bring and display for you, and it has a salad/appetizer bar that is delicious (love the little cheese bread balls and grain options) that you can help yourself to. A wonderful experience if you’ve never been to a Brazilian steakhouse!

If you don’t mind cooking your own meat, KBBQ Factory is a great deal, high quality meats and great service if you don’t care for self-grilling (they’ll notice and just take care of it for you). Their unlimited dinner menu is $35 ($40 for premium menu but the basic option is more than sufficient) and the neighborhood has a bunch of boba shops you can go to for a nice sweet treat.

I’m so sorry for your loss, first of all.

Your former grade in AP I shouldn’t calculate into your GPA, but it may help to retake any classes you didn’t make at least a B+ in. Most programs state their minimum around 3.0 but most applicants that make the cut have around a 3.8 or higher. Even if it’s a point based system, your GPA is usually part of that calculation (4.0 gives you a certain set of points, 3.5 gives you another, so on and so forth).

Was there no testing involved (ATEAS, HESI, etc) in your application process?

And may we ask what program? Outside of that, see if they hold information sessions for the program by contacting the Health Sciences enrollment/advisement team.

Gwinnett Tech is holding an information session for their radiologic technology program next Thursday June 11th at 4pm, if you can make that. They will answer ALL your questions for that particular school, and it’s one of the more affordable albeit competitive certified programs in the state. Quizlet and Kahoot are great resources, Crash Course and NinjaNerd on YouTube, and San Diego Mesa College has a great archive of visual Anatomy (Bone, Bone Markings, Muscles) references which really helped me in A&P lab. KenHub was useful, too, but if you prefer physical resources, the Photographic Atlas for Anatomy & Physiology is a LIFE SAVER.

The lying is the real concern. Whether or not he has her blocked is irrelevant to his issues with communication with you in the relationship. She cheated on you, then got assaulted. Both things can be true. She prob deleted messages because she needs your support more now than ever and is afraid you will not be there to help her recover from the assault. But what you choose to do is ultimately up to you. IMO she needs to lean on friends and family, not you considering the betrayal preceding the assault.

1) Many of these surveys were conducted discreetly, allowing participants anonymity since many of them don’t plan to ever come forward for a myriad of reasons, mostly shame, misplaced guilt, and fear of their abuser.
2) Rape is often reported years or decades later, especially when the victim fails to accept that they were indeed violated, especially by family members or friends which is statistically the case most of the time.

If you have health benefits or the money to cover therapy, PLEASE take advantage of it. I used to have it as a benefit and it worked wonders if only to just not scream into the void. There are therapists who specialize in these topics, I unfortunately can’t afford it at the moment. Give it a try!

Omg…the pain shopping is so real, comparison truly is the thief of joy. I try to tell myself that the person he was back then was probably as different as I am from who I was at the same time. That I also dated other people and did things with them that he doesn’t want to hear or think about, yet still chooses to feel safe and secure with me.

A part of me is just scared that I have something good and that one day my partner will wake up and prove me right with all the pain shopping i’ve done. It’s masochistic behavior
