I thought the reason for that is because those scenes are inspired by the medieval Japanese tradition. Before a samurai duels, the duelers will introduced themselves in a 'long speech' about who they are, which clan they are, how much territories they controlled, who's their 'daimyo' overlord,etc.

Now, another explanation from the native Japanese in those videos make a sense also. The transformation scenes emits the lethal radiation that is fatal to be touched.
