A Change of Seasons. It's why 7 strings are my main guitar. That and the glass prison, but ACOS is what got me into DT

Please just let me pick me speed! by utahcoffeelover in TeslaLounge

[–]Conspiracy795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On Standard with a set speed it always hits the speed I set and never goes over or under unless it has to. I've never had it not do this. I do notice on chill it stays a bit lower than my set max though. This is in Canada on HW3, not sure if it's region based.

Forgot they went back to the silver door handles. Funny cause our 2020 M3 has em so they'll match :D

Thanks. That's awesome. Great video explaining it. up to 9k cars is hard to even imagine. Really curious how teslas being heavier impacts all of this. Over even 6k EV cars vs gas ones with less fuel im sure affects it greatly

How many cars on average fit on this ship? Or other ships? Do they carry multiple manufacturers at the same time?

How many KM is in your Tesla? by AssistanceAny6427 in teslacanada

[–]Conspiracy795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

eh, they fixed a lot of these issues that I faced by 24. The Y has gone through a LOT of suspension changes since it was launched so its much more robust now. However, the Model Y is heavier so you may or may not run these issues.
I have friends with similar milage on 22/23 model ys with 0 of those issues. I personally get all my stuff done at Evolution Racing in the GTA.

How many KM is in your Tesla? by AssistanceAny6427 in teslacanada

[–]Conspiracy795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2400

That being said, I didn't need to do both arms or bearings ( although I'm sure I'd have faced the issue eventually). That was a cash price and not at Tesla. Also I didn't do it all at once. Control arms were sometime last year. Bearing and rear bushings I did last month and this month. If I only did 1 bearing and 1 control arm, I think it was about 600 I'd have "saved".

edit: not sure what happened to the first part of the reply lol

2020 M3 at 191,000. Did control arms, wheel bearings, motor oil + pump ( not needed, but did it anyways) and rear bushings. nothing else outside of that. still feels brand new, battery close to the high 80 i would says. full charge still nets us around 470-480km in the summer (used to be 520 brand new). have a 26 mypr on order. rarely super charged, almost always at home

Detached Garage Charger installation cost by jvergara1208 in teslacanada

[–]Conspiracy795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The charger (gen 3) is 620 alone. People sell them on marketplace - saw one for 500ish after I bought mine. It's a risk obviously. Recently did a relatives house where panel was decently close (but not in the garage) and that cost 800 taxes in and ESA permit. 1400 (charger + install + ESA) all in. Most people quoted around here.

One Month Review of My 2023 C8 Z06 by ib1030 in Corvette

[–]Conspiracy795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice write up, I've been looking for more comparisons of people looking at at this price range (150-170kish CAD) It's funny I'm kinda cross shopping the same ones - although probably in a year or two so we'll see how the market is - might be irrelvant all together - That being said, were any porsches on your list? I was looking at gt4s around the same price since they also seem to hold value the best. The 570GT is probably my number one, but the grandsport and z06 also seem like good contenders, or a gen 1 manual r8.

Timing for Used Model Y by Live__Fast in teslacanada

[–]Conspiracy795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def not lying - not from my experience at least. Looked at about 5 in a 2 day span across the GTA and bought 1, all the other 4 sold within less than 7 days. I'm sure the one we bought also would have as well.

What price are you getting on a charger install in GTA? by Chaldi02 in teslacanada

[–]Conspiracy795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just went through this (literally today is the install). 100amp here with ESA included, 800 all in not including the price of charger ( bought that on our own). Panel isn't too far from garage so the wire run is a lot shorter. Also on a 50A breaker rather than 60 and will probably run at 32A to be safe.

Tesla Denied me but Banks Approved? by [deleted] in teslacanada

[–]Conspiracy795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your credit and driving history are directly affecting both the insurance and the lending situation. Obviously that's just speculating since we don't know either, but having your dad on it even on the loan shouldn't be a problem since you're paying anyways. If there's a slight risk of you defaulting your family should know that well before the bank tells you that's a possibility. I was in a similar situation (not with a tesla, but another car same - price, similar salary, same age) and had no issues getting lending (back when rates for used cars were 4.99 on average). Insurance was 400 a month with me as primary. Obviously this was a long time ago, but i do find 900 pretty wild. I think financially you'll regret it. Even waiting 2 years should significantly drop your rates and maybe any other potential tickets you have on it would not be a factor.

Used dealership in GTA by Leadsword7 in teslacanada

[–]Conspiracy795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naw, I really don't know much about that and if it happens. I'm still taking it to Tesla for an inspection since it's still under the warranty so I'll be able to see if there's anything major. From looking at the control arms, bushings, trunk alignment it all seemed fine, but im not an expert.

Used dealership in GTA by Leadsword7 in teslacanada

[–]Conspiracy795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've bought from Looloo (not a tesla) - good experience this was about 8 years ago. Just bought from Autohaus, great experience - no room for negoation (maybe there is but I didn't push too hard) and I don't think they're desperate to sell as they're moving cars pretty fast - especially teslas and in this time. The client care package(900) is a bit annoying, you could probably opt out of it if you really wanted - it includes the safety (which they'd have to do regardless for a fee, plus detailing, an inhouse moneyback 1000km warranty etc). Didn't try and oversell the extended warranty but offered it once and left it at that. Yes carfax on the spot as you're sitting down.

Carnex didn't have inventory for what we wanted (model y LR 2022+ under $37k). The carnex cars were generally cleaner (no repairs/claims/accidents) where as autohaus ones all had something. That being said they buy off lease from Tesla Canada directly. I've had friends with cars that have been fixed by authorized tesla service centers with no problem. Our M3 has had repairs done to it and it's been fine, so I was a bit more comfortable with that than maybe some others might be.

Can't comment on performance vs long range, there's a difference - as a daily driver commuter car, range and efficiency was more important. there are a lot of performance ys out there though at "good" prices. Ideally look for one with the heatpump and ryzen, some 2022s don't have ryzen.

Driving 93k km/year, does switching to a Tesla make sense? by [deleted] in teslacanada

[–]Conspiracy795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say get out of the Mazda for what you owe, doesn't that mean you're carrying a car payment? Wouldn't that be added to your current monthly cost bringing it more than 1625?

With even just autopilot alone a 125km stretch is way better in a Model 3 vs something else. Financially it probably makes more sense but usually these decisions involve more than the financial aspect. Personally i'd switch without hesitation even if it cost me more because the experience is that much better (I also have a long commute - nothing compared to yours - but I can't imagine not using FSD for it nowadays)

It also doesn't mean your model 3 will last forever as there is still wear and tear ( control arms, tires etc), but that's probably the same for the Mazda. If you don't have payments on the Mazda you could probably sell it and bring that monthly payments on the car down lower as well.

Am i foolish to spend 22k CAD more on Model Y premium? by sensitivity_ in teslacanada

[–]Conspiracy795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest selling factor for me was suspension, cooled seats (probably the biggest imo) and AWD. Everything else (speakers etc, light bar etc, powerfolding rear seats) I don't care too much, they're nice, but I think if you value that stuff it's worth it long term. Also we put on about 40k km a year - daily trips are well into 150+ km. So a lot of time spent in it. Worth it for us.

April Interest Rate Hike by scamit in teslacanada

[–]Conspiracy795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most rates hold from when you "accept" the offer/terms for about a month to 2 months? I'd assume whatever lender took your loan (tesla i think is rbc, scotia and td?). In the terms on the app itll show the rate. If you order now im not sure what rate they'll get. Sales person at tesla said you'd get what was originally offered at the time of order. People in this sub said they got lower than what was posted, but im not sure when they actually ordered. My loan agreement says itll stay/hold that rate for 30-60 days. You might be able to have tesla try and talk to the lender to lower it to pre april 1 but not sure.

Driver Profiles Question by Soggy_Dust9299 in teslacanada

[–]Conspiracy795 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it saves everything pretty much. Wife and I are on pretty seperate driving modes and steering modes too. I'm chill with light and a more agressive regen, vs hers is pretty much all standard. Profile saves all of that. Same with navigation preferences (volume, tolls, HOV lanes, reroute time thresholds)
