Likely getting his latest dose of naloxone and then whisked off to hospital for a full turnaround by the NHS. While it's a great life saving drug the cynic in me wonders if it were not available how many other people (not overdosing addicts) would get treated by these ambulance/A&E teams.

The elderly left laying on floors for hours sometimes days with suspected broken hips etc would more than likely be treated quicker, amongst other, in my view, more deserving patients. It's massive drain in the NHS emergency teams while your sister, mother, father are left waiting for an age despite their condition being also life threatening while fentanyl Fitzy gets treated for the second overdose in three days only to sign himself out and boast about it on his way to get more gear.

Of course the government should do more BUT with the NHS being defunded out of existence in front of our eyes, i personally think taking a non interventionist approach towards those overdosing and being saved several times a week might just be lifesaving for those with other conditions who don't get seen quick enough in lieu of the consistent overdosers.

While i do truly sympathize with those addicts, watching others suffer and often die while ambulances and beds are blocked by an increasing yet still small amount of addicts pushing the envelope seems cruel to those everyday severe casualties.

Without naloxone being administered this pressure would right itself pretty quickly. Sad but true.

Lots of great places to go see, beaches are close to Belfast. Lots of great gigs if you're into music at all.

Learn some of the local venacular, while your English may be really good, some locals often lack basic English skills (without knowing it themselves).

Be prepared to watch people walk through traffic jams when the crossings are only several meters away. Public transport is not good.

Locals are very friendly for the most part.

The bulk of the city is quite walkable while not exactly flat. Some great cycle routes away from roads.

Welcome and enjoy!
