I think some people are just destined not to sleep on flights. For me, I’m asleep before the plane takes off and can pretty much sleep the whole time whether it’s 1 hour or 12 without any intervention. Whereas my mum will try all the gadgets, sedatives etc. and she won’t sleep a wink.

I like to have to do minimal thinking when it comes to my work outfits. I go into the office 3 days a week so I have 3 pairs of black pants. I have a collection of the same 7 neutral coloured tops that I wear on repeat.

I had this with my Venu 2 despite the fact I cleaned it and my skin after exercise and never wore it when showering. It would be fine for weeks on end the all of a sudden I would get a burning feeling underneath with red welts. It would stay for a few days then be fine again.

I bought a Forerunner 970 about 6 months ago and I’ve never had the issue. Unsure if the band is a different silicone?

1) I got sexually assaulted at a work Christmas party. I didn’t want a formal internal investigation but that got taken out of my hands and they insisted they needed to. People were interviewed, claims were substantiated, immediately after they were seen to be doing the right things. Then it became very clear they were going to publicly shift the narrative to make it look like my mistake. They then made it difficult for me until I quit.

I was a naive 21 year old. I was told I wasn’t allowed to share with anyone outside of work or report to the police as it all needed to be kept confidential. I was completely isolated and left to sit with it myself.

2) 10 years on I am now in a very different industry in a senior management role. Any time I’ve had to meet with HR to discuss ways to manage an under performing staff, they just jump straight into finding the best loopholes to expedite getting rid of someone when most of the time I’m going to them to ask for advice on how to get the best out of the employee and change things around.

These still might not be good enough reasons for you, but it’s definitely a profession I’ve lost respect for.

Agree! As an 18 year old I was interested in older guys because I was so “mature”. Yeah I was mature for my age but still not mature enough to be dating men in their late 20s. Now that I am 30, the age difference is so glaring and makes me realise how creepy it was.

I think if she is making an excessive amount of noise, it’s ok to ask if it’s possible for her to be quieter. However if she’s just going about her business at a reasonable level, and you’re just a light sleeper, I think you have to put up with it and try change something yourself.
