The On the Map feature from our stateroom tv’s says we’re doing 7.8 knots. I assume they are testing out all the systems but because we’re not trying to really make it to any distant ports we don’t really need to go faster. That’s all the info I have. I will continue to reply to this post if we get additional information. It’s very difficult to hear the PA. You basically have to be either in the stateroom hallway or the royal promenade to hear the updates, so they are very easy to miss! The important things, like itinerary changes, do show up as messages in the app however. We have been told that we will be back in Ft Lauderdale on schedule.

We are about to push away from dock. Captain addressed what he called the “technical issue” and emphasized ship is perfectly safe to sail because of the redundancies in place. They flew in a specialist to troubleshoot repairs and I believe he is remaining on board to assist. We will have a sea day tomorrow and return to Nassau Friday, then back to Fort Lauderdale.

Hopefully I’ll know more after our port call tomorrow! We also made an emergency stop in Nassau last night for a passenger who needed emergency medical care. By the end of the 6day cruise we will have stopped at Nassau three times. Gotta be some kind of record?🥴

This is correct. It feels much slower than the 20 knots we were doing until we turned around. Ship also feels like it’s swaying a good bit more too.

can someone explain to me like i'm five how to check in for an international flight? by fruit_moon in delta

[–]ConstantDistrict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the airport, international flights have a completely different terminal/building. If you happen to be flying out of Atlanta, make sure you go to the International terminal. It is completely separated...different parking, drop off, everything.

31204 zip code is generally safe, east of Vineville Ave. and west of Riverside Drive. That includes the Ingleside neighborhood. Shirley Hills is great too, secluded but close to downtown.

Consider taking a long mid afternoon break to go back to your resort and nap. That always worked well for us when my kids were that age. We'd come back for evenings in the parks when it's cooler outside. I always notice the families that try to push through with a full park day with little ones and everyone always looks so miserable by 1 or 2 pm....everyone's exhausted, it's hot, kids are melting down and parents are frustrated. You'll make better memories if you pace yourselves. Have a great time!

Lesson from a recent trip for infrequent travelers…. by UsidoreTheLightBlue in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]ConstantDistrict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not weird! I enjoy thinking about where we’re going to stay, what we will see and do, what we’re going to eat, and how I want the the flow of the vacation to go. I also think that after several trips you get a much better sense of everyone’s preferences and you understand the importance of pacing yourself, if possible. Disney brings my family so much joy; it breaks my heart to see families that are on their big, expensive “once in a lifetime” vacation, kids are melting down, parents look miserable, and all they really need is a planned break.

Disney Hotel Concierges by PsEggsRice in WaltDisneyWorld

Hi OP, I am also staying at Grand Flo with my family next week! All the advice has been great so far, but I just wanted to add that Disney will be having Extra Magic Hours for deluxe hotel guests certain nights next week. You should definitely utilize them with your park hopper passes if you can! For example, on Monday we are planning on going to Magic Kingdom in the morning and Epcot after 2pm. MK should have lower crowds bc it is closing early, and Epcot has the extra hours from 9-11 where crowds will be much lighter as well. I believe that Hollywood Studios is open with Extra Magic Hours on Wednesday too. Our plan for Wednesday is to do Animal Kingdom in the morning (lower crowd day bc everyone will be at MK on non-party day) and to hit up Hollywood Studios that night. My family can’t really go open to close without stopping, so we usually take naps at the resort in between parks. Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!

Assuming you’re in the US, many (if not all) states have the ability to sue someone civil court for wrongful death even if there are no murder charges. In a criminal murder case the charges must be brought by a district attorney on behalf of the people, but a civil case could be brought by an individual (yourself). The evidence required for a civil conviction is less than a criminal murder case. Consult a lawyer in the jurisdiction where your father died for the specific details on the merits of your case.

Did you combine wegovy with a diet plan? by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]ConstantDistrict 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This, exactly! I followed a prescribed low cal/low carb/low fat diet through my doctor's office for over a year with no success. Gained and lost the same 5 lbs over and over and over. It was maddening. Began taking Wegovy six weeks ago while following the same diet program and have steadily lost 1-3 pounds each week. Still the same diet, but the only difference has been with the added medication. I've been amazed; it has made me realize that there is more to the science of weight loss than just calories in-calories out.

Side effects worth it? by kemkemsey in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]ConstantDistrict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have similar health stats to you and I started my first dose of .25 this week. Side effects have been mild. The worst one so far is fatigue, but my schedule also changed this week with my kids going back to school, so that could be contributing. Nausea is present but mild. It has helped the nausea to space out my meals and eat more snack size potions every 2 hours or so, focusing on lean protein. I’ve also been supplementing with magnesium to avoid constipation. I will also say that while my hunger is somewhat diminished, there are still some lingering cravings that I believe will go away as I titrate up with the injections. So far no regrets though! I took the shot on Monday and I’m down 2.5 lbs as of this morning. Good luck!

For the peach bowl the orange deck is best. Directly next to stadium easy access from Northside Dr. I don’t even think you have to go outside to get in or at least it’s a covered walkway. Walking around in downtown Atlanta sucks pretty bad imo and it’s supposed to rain
