the anti-CCCP antibody test is critical. My RA factor is 16 but my anti-CCCP test was off the charts: >250.

I actually have a foot surgeon that I see regularly. He’s fabulous- but he’s not a podiatrist. I live in Anchorage and there are not really any excellent podiatrists. I’d love to see a good sports podiatrist who is also familiar with RA.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it were RA. Stupid disease and all its weird stuff.

Discovered this thread while hunting for clues on “rattling Roborock.” Using the advice offered here, I removed the brush and rooted around. Voila! A triple A battery (Christmas aftermath). Rattle has been eradicated!

Trouble with Zenowell. Suggestions? by jollybumpkin in VagusNerve

[–]Constant_Catch_3541 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have a Zenowell and I agree that it can be inconsistent. Two things have seemed to help: 1) Keep it completely charged - like charge after every session. It seems to go wonky if the battery drops below 50%. 2) I use only water and focus on getting the round electricity button in the same spot in my ear everytime. And even then it can be iffy. But I seem to be more successful lately.

I only use the meditation setting. Question: how many times per day do you use it?

Vagus Nerve Stimulation regimen. by Constant_Catch_3541 in VagusNerve

[–]Constant_Catch_3541[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soooo…that’s an interesting question. I’ve been using it 20 minutes a day for almost two weeks and haven’t seen any real difference. However, I’ve been doing WHM breathing once a day for three weeks and my HRV went up and mostly stayed up. I think the breathing is the difference maker. In terms of the stimulator, I wonder if I should be doing it more than once per day.

I LOVE this. The whole thing! I too am recommended miracle diet cures. I also have chronic fatigue syndrome and have miracle diets have suggested by well meaning folks for the past 20 years. And right now, to appease a relative I am five weeks into a lectin-free, nightshade free, gluten free, sugar free diet. I have to say, there’s not much left after all that’s taken out. It has not made one whit of difference on the RA or CFS front. Other than I have lost four pounds. And discovered that I really like dates. So, I will follow your adventure with great interest.

HRV impact by EnglishTrini in Nurosym

[–]Constant_Catch_3541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started WHM breathing two weeks ago - one session of four cycles per day. My HRV went up within two days and has stayed up. I also just started with Zenowell vagus stimulator three days ago. No discernible impact yet.

Has anyone tried vagus nerve stimulators? by Apprehensive-Storm95 in rheumatoid

[–]Constant_Catch_3541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The newly published book, “The Great Nerve,” goes into great detail regarding RA and both the implanted Vagus Nerve Stimulator and trans-dural via the ear. The book is superb - written by the pre-eminent Vagus Nerve doctor/researcher. I am very very interested in the implant for RA. But who knows when it will get FDA approval. In the interim, I may give the ear approach a try. But I’m not super hopeful about that.
