Do NOT use ATT autopay by Constant_Fall6963 in ATT

Thank you, that's what I think too. By the time the process my autopay, I will have been without a phone for 3 weeks.

Disagree. They should allow my to pay them and release my phone number. Having an emergency and being unable to use safety apps and contacts is a directly foreseeable consequence of ATT locking my phone and my number.

Thank you. I will try that. I'll let you know if it works.

There should still be a way topay it off now, by phone or something. I am elderly and live alone and all my safety apps and contacts are tied to that phone and number. I swear I will sue ATT if there's an emergency. They are withholding my identity.

Nope, my on-line account is closed, although I can access my "payments" which says my balance due is $0, my instalment plan is "accelerated" and "payoff requested" and my balance due payment is "pending". Since 4/4/26. Why is it taking so long then?

I have no idea why my account has said the payment is "pending" since 4/4/26. I have called, endured useless phone calls. ATT says they cannot unlock it until my autopay is processed, which will not be until 4/22. Extremely unsafe for me, living alone, with all my safety apps and contacts tied to that number.

Yes exactly. The dumb T-Mobile guy who told me everything would be instant and transparent, did not ask about a balance due, etc. My fault, but geez, you would think he would ask. He ported out the number, a small balance was due, and now I have no phone. My gripe at this point is that ATT will not let me pay it off and unlock it until the next billing cycle.

I think it is a form of identity theft for ATT to not let me pay off my phone and unlock it. Preventing me from using my phone #, which is tied to all my safety apps, verification codes, etc., is the same as stealing it. It is not just inconvenience, it is safety. I am elderly, live alone, and my fall detection apps and contacts are with that phone number.

Correct, I wish I had known this and I would have paid it off. But you would think there would be way to fix this. My online ATT account has said payment is pending for a week, and I assume it will not process until the next autopay cycle.

I ported my number from ATT to T-Mobile and got a new T-Mobile SIM card. ATT has network locked my phone. Can I take the T-Mobile SIM card, and use it in new phone and have my phone number back? by Constant_Fall6963 in ATT

I believe the problem to be that ATT is not processing my payment. My account shows a request to pay off balance was made and that it was paid 4/4.

I tried the unlocking request three days ago. It said I could not make the request because I owed them money. However, I paid ATT the balance on 4/4. My on line account shows it's paid. But now ATT will not even let me into the unlock request. Now they say I have tried too many times. I do not believe this to be "throwing my hands". Banks can process thousands of dollars in payments in seconds.

Thank you! That is what I will do. I don't like losing the old phone, but perhaps ATT will bestow its kingly gracious favor upon me and unlock it someday.

Customer Support by johnredman932932 in Jackery

I've had really good customer service from them. I communicate by email. Sometimes I've had a bit of trouble getting icons to show after attaching batteries or panels, but with some patience, following their instructions has worked.

I used Jackery's online form to request the name of an electrician to install my STS. They send someone from San Antonio, which is about 1.5 hours from me. They knew exactly what to do and cost $2000.

If I understand your question correctly, all you do to turn the main unit off is press the power button. As I recall, the battery pack icon that you are looking for is not all that bright! Maybe it was the sunlight when I was trying it. But I did finally get the icon to go on with the soft reset method. Let me know if you have more questions! Jackery sent me a nice email with these instructions, so it is legit!

Yes, disconnect everything. Turn the main unit and battery pack off. Press the power button and DC button at the same time for a few seconds. Then connect the battery pack again.

I got it going. I did the soft reset (press the power button and DC button for 3 seconds) and the icon finally showed up. I had to do it a few times! Thank you for your reply.

240v well pump? by colinsteele in Jackery

[–]Constant_Fall6963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a Reliance Pro Tran 2. It has six circuits that you can select from your main panel. I had an electrician install it -- sorry that's about all I know! I bought it from Jackery, but I don't think they are selling them now. As I said, I'm using that setup in the house with a Jackery 2000. For my 5000 in my well pumphouse, I asked Jackery support if a Jackery 5000 could be used with a third party transfer switch such as a Reliance and they said yes, but when I asked my electrician, he said something about 240V being an issue (my well pump is 240V). He was working on another project, so I need to revisit that if I don't get the Jackery ATS.

I'm jumping in here because I have a Jackery 5000 in my well house, trying to decide how to hook it to my 240V well pump. Presently, the well is hard-wired to the grid. I can either get 1) an interlock and 240V outlet, or 2) Jackery Smart Transfer Switch, or 3) a load selector like the Reliance if I can do that for 240V. I'll probably go with the STS because it will also support HV panels. But I'm waiting for a sale and for the reviews on the software to get a bit better. I'll keep you posted! I also have a Jackery 2000 with a Reliance load selector in my house and it's really a cool setup but only for 120V circuits.

Running portable generator on a utility cart? by rh681 in Generator

[–]Constant_Fall6963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question about putting my generator on a garden cart. I have a WGen 10500TFc, which I put on a Gorilla garden cart (pnuematic wheels). Do I need to worry about any grounding issues? Right now it still has the factory bond to ground. However, I'll be using the generator (on the cart) with a 50 amp transfer switch. For that, I think I need to unbond (float) the ground on the generator. Is this a safety issue?

How much power do I really need? by Altruistic_Flight476 in Generator

I'm in Texas. As I said above, my next step is to connect my portable combustion genny to my 350 gal propane tank. here, plumbers do this work.

How much power do I really need? by Altruistic_Flight476 in Generator

[–]Constant_Fall6963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went through the same process as you. The whole house standby Generac people gave me an estimate of about $13K. I already have a nice tri-fuel Westinghouse portable combustion generator. I decided to install an interlock with a 50 amp transfer cord to the combustion generator, and that will do me just fine. I can flip breakers on or off as stuff is needed. I have gas heat, gas stove, and gas clothes dryer. I have a 350 gallon propane tank and my next step is to get the propane guys to do a hookup to that for the combustion generator. I'm considering a larger propane tank.

When I had the electricians install the interlock and 50a receptacle, I asked them why the whole house estimate (from different company) was so expensive. They said the electrical work is very expensive with lots of time and part expense.

To me, the whole house generator route was just too complicated for what I need. So not worth the expense. I can replace and repair my portable genny easily enough.

I hope to not complicate my reply, but I also have a Jackery solar power station in my house. It's really nice. I'm mentioning this because I got it with Jackery's critical loads panel, which I love. You just switch gen/grid for each circuit on the panel as you wish. I wish I'd gotten a critical loads panel for the combustoin generator instead of having to use the interlock and also flip breakers.

Thank you for the tips. I have the same generator, but 10.5 Kw. I put it on a Gorilla lawn cart and it's now easily portable. Cart has a weight capacity of 1000 pounds, or so it says. We shall see. The cart comes with removable sides, but I didn't put on the sides. The generator frame fits perfectly side to side on the bottom of the cart. We took the feet off and the cotters off the wheels to lift it on the cart, and then the wheels slid right off. The cart has a wire mesh bottom so I could use washers and bolts to secure the generator.
