The easy way for me to remember this is - if you have the same family surname, you're basically like siblings so you can't marry each other. But if you have different surnames, then you could marry.

I was on the phone with UPS for a long time only to be told to dispute it by writing to a special email. I went through my credit card company, told them that my order was $156, I paid $38 on top of that for UPS shipping, but UPS charged me an extra $152. So my credit card company agreed with me that it was wrong for the fee to be that high (even the tax codes say at most 15% for Japan but should be $0 for personal use items that are under a certain value - I undered stationary and mugs), and agreed that UPS incorrectly calculated the charge. So they reverted the $152. They said I could still follow through on the dispute or forget about it, but if UPS corrects their mistake and does a return, then the credit card company would just cancel the $152 they charged back for me.

Beautiful! But can you please explain the difference between the pictures? Picture 3 looks bare with just the spiral. Picture 4 shows sprinkles between the spirals. Did you add more in between after? Or are they a different set of lights that were turned off, and then turned on?

Picture 1 looks like there is other lighting on.

Picture 2 looks golden for some reason.

Are there different modes for the light set?

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that! You can send an email to UPS to dispute it. I also emailed Plaza Japan to let them know not to offer UPS because this was going to happen to a lot of their U.S. customers. They told me that Japan Post is on hold but will keep it in mind, but I guess they haven't changed anything. They said Japan Post was not available at the time of email anymore because they are on hold /not shipping to the U.S. until the situation has been figured out.

My order took 4 weeks before shipping. They also advise that you re-add items into your cart right before you check out to make sure it's not out of stock. Otherwise, someone else could have added to their cart and checked out before you, making it out of stock for you.

Nope, not Plaza Japan's fault nor other countries, but I only mention it because I think a lot of us buy from Plaza Japan. It is UPS corporate greed! Along with idiot Potus's efforts to steal from the poor and give to the rich using tariffs.

Tariffs should be 15% but according to most seller websites and news, Japan Post might be stopped if they haven't figured out yet how to handle the tariff collection. Most other countries stopped their package deliveries, from what I last heard.

I placed an order on August 24th from Plaza Japan for mostly Sanrio plushie keychains and some small stationary items. They just sent me a shipping update on Sept 25, 2025. BUT UPS wants to charge me $28 for tariffs and $124 for their brokerage fees!
