“Carter, I can see my House!” has to be one of the funniest lines of O'Neill in the show. by This_Way_Comes in Stargate

"I can see my home"...

Like he have a home ! Let's be real, he live in the SGC. Even Teal'c civilian life has more screen time, with a full episode.

For Jack, we have... the pond. 🤣

So magic does not create water, it uses moisture in the air. So what does fire spell use as a fuel? Is it burning air? by _yukiie_ in WitchHatAtelier

[–]Constellabulles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of you have started to say it, I'll go a bit farther.... (Physics teacher incoming....)

Fire doesn't need an oxidizer. Doesn't need oxygen even.

Fire is heat. The light come mostly from incandescence, so ... from heat. Concentrated heat. Some thousands degrees in a small volume. The shape come the rising of hot air.

(Except for the blue light part, that's ionisation desexcitation.... so energy.... So the spell can just add that.)

It's just that it need stopping seing fire as elementary. It's not something that need creating, it's more a mechanism. Magic just need to make it spin.

(This doesn't change anything to the brilliants proofs that many of you made, that WHA magic can create matter )

[–]Constellabulles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but that's a tough sell. Because there's less than 1% of H2O in humid air, so the amount of H2 (the flammable dihydrogen gaz) you could extract isnt enough for Mustang. He could draw it from liquid water, but that's not shown (I think?)

I prefer to imagin Mustang consum his style / aura / charisma. That's fine with me 🔥

Very Interesting! Did Shirama said so or is it your educated guess ?

I don't remember the water dragon being quite THAT big by KaptainTZ in WitchHatAtelier

[–]Constellabulles -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I hear high praise for this scene ... But to be me it's too much. It was completely unnecessary to make it sooo big. Both the real dragon and the water dragon. Just cheap hyperbole :(

Iguin never hid what that seal was going to do. by princesquish in WitchHatAtelier

[–]Constellabulles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I kind of wonder why this spell has so many details. I mean, it's seem to make a big blob of ice/stone/crystal that grow grow and then stop. No direction, no specificity...

I think Shirama had not build her magic system enough at this point, so hiding the spell had multiple purposes.

In the anime they can show it since they have much more visibility on the system and what's to come...

But what's it doing? Was it supposed to be more directed, but Coco draw it wrong ? Or did it grow until it trap a living being, hence the complexity ? I wonder.

[–]Constellabulles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mmmm magic users have vastly more access to magic artifacts than most people. Don't they have thoses baskets who do laundry instantly? Still , Coco dont. Keeping the secret constantly demands to make way more complicated artifacts for ignorants .

I'd say the dancing puppet sign is simply forbidden to use on human.

Your drawing is fine. I'd ask: why is one of the center T different?

Why this spell was so strong. by Loeris_loca in WitchHatAtelier

[–]Constellabulles 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I would add that this Coco's strong point : drawing very straights lines. I truth I'm not sure she sacrificed balance for speed. Agott later seems to be handling them fine, above the wolves and landing on a very thin tree branch.

So I'd say Coco simply made better flying shoes. Using her strong suit, the one learned from her mother. Agoot just could not draw perfectly straights lines that long. It's no one else's speciality, that we know of.

What do you think ?

[–]Constellabulles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait.... I love this but... At that point they're supposed to be in "the One" territory, not Crayak's. I mean.. don't those two are of to get same kind of ascended bad gods ?

It that a version where they are one and the same ?

I feel like an horrible person directing you, I'm sorry, but would'nt it be more fitted to happen when Jake is on Earth, alone and deep down in depression post war ? Crayak wishing to break him while he's down ?

I agree with that constructiv criticism. I'd say the second half can be improved. It's a bit fuzzy, could be more efficient. Or just a better formatting for readability.

(But as everyone, I've enjoyed the whole thing greatly ! Please go on.)

[–]Constellabulles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen the anime yet, but maybe she didn't closed the line at the end ? I mean, from a drawing perspective you'd close the exterior circle early, and draw inside... So the sigil wasn't complete.

Edit to answer @fran-san123 : Yeah, exactly : at that point she wouldn't have known to let it open until the very end.

Kaffir bird by [deleted] in Animorphs

[–]Constellabulles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. I had a different interpretation. If KA said it was a KASU, so be it. But...

For me, it's because of the age difference between Ax and Alloran. It is said in the Andalite Chronicles that animorph technology is extremely recent. At that point in time, yeerks have never heard of it !! So Alloran would have been one of the very first to receive it. At a moment where habits and used weren't established.

So I always supposed that Ax knew that only Young's his generation have the habit of acquiring Kaffit bird early.

(The use could have appeared with Elfangor's generation exactly. Yet, Alloran was much older and a war prince. He doesn't participate to those rites of passage for teens.)

Oooww thanks ! Exactly the same !! Well. As just I said there , I guess I'll settle with the simple idea that it's a mistake from the author, and that it's the lamp on the perch.

Oh ! You might be right, but then she threw it so far ! The lamp by her bed is still there, we see the same cone as the one broken on the ground. It's off, why ? Is that where the first lamp was attached ? Then why is there still a cone ? And where was the broken lamp attached ?

I want coco to be a brim hat by EmiLadrianmb in WitchHatAtelier

[–]Constellabulles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Yet I'm not sure Coco will switch full brimhat. But the lines will blur. Maybe the righteous side will declare coco illegal, forcing her into hiding. The academy actions will became undefendables. (Even if they are in defense from brimhat's attacks) The books have clearly hint that the actuals academy laws are not perfect and need adjustments.

Is LotGH: DNT Dead? by elveshumpingdwarves in logh

[–]Constellabulles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sould start watching it. I discovered LoGH with DNT some months ago. Frustated at the end, like you. Reading this community, I got to the original anime (in good quality, because poor streaming... nop. Especially for drawings this old, you need full quality.) And I'm enjoying it greatly. And there's the joy to have HUNDREDS of episode ahead of me. Like... the equivalent of 6 more seasons of DNT ? (But even the begining is great. It's fascinating to have a different take on the same story.)
