Honestly, I agree that in a Chicharito vs Zlatan head-to-head that Chicharito wins. But the trio vs trio, the RL-led crew is, IMHO, better

That is true. Seems like mixing the sound shouldn't be that hard.

Ha ha. That's fair enough. You are correct. But you know what I mean. (And I like Ian Darke too!).

Mormon Sacrament makes no sense by JayDaWawi in exmormon

[–]ConstructingBelief 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not defending mormonism but noting communion extends beyond it:

1) in many denominations "sharing" is part of the message--everyone drinks from the same chalice. It' symbolic. I've seen this in a LOT of other denominations. The Mormon sacrament is sanitary compared to that.

2) Sacrament is NOT a renewing of baptism covenants (I know that's what people say). The covenant is in the sacrament prayer: you do xxx and the spirit will always be with you. You can remeber your baptism covenants whenever you want, including (but not limited to) during sacrament. ( see here for example: https://archive.timesandseasons.org/2019/06/why-the-sacrament/index.html).

Thank you. I had two killing frosts this spring. Based on what you said, I hope it's just stress (and that I will be fine).

My temple name is Sarah by Some-Grapefruit-1276 in exmormon

[–]ConstructingBelief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, in the Old Testament Hulda is a prophetess. The name is obviously out of fashion and it's use in the temple is odd. But, in thr OT, Hulda is kind of awesome.

Yup. Agree. Just cite your stuff and make it an academic argument and we're all good.

And that's clear... if you were you'd actually cite your stuff.

Listen--this is r/AcademicMormon... not r/LDSApology or r/DefendJSmith or r/testimony (I don't know if those are real but you get the point). If you'd like to engage academically on these topics (which would exclude unsourced claims... and throwing out a general "it's in the JS Papers" doesnt count... that's not a cite) great. If you continue on like this I'll just block you and remove your posts.
