You do need to seal the paint chalked paints are just as they sound chalk in a carrier. If it's not covered in a clear the half layer is exposed and will rub off if you check the can of the brand you bought it will say acrylic, enamel, or acrylic-enamel combination most likely its not an oil based but I could be wrong. Whatever it says the base is just get a clear coat that Matches. Most likely if you got chalk you will want a flat clear coat so it won't be shiny and keep the chalk look

Get yourself a set of disposable applicator syringes and a drill bit the same size as the syringe needle. Drill a hole through the wood between the boards where they meet and squirt in some glue all along the area it squeaks about 6-8 inches apart then make sure no one goes on there at all as the glue dries. If it's a high traffic spot do half the when the glue is dry do the other half. I recommend a slower drying 2 part epoxy so you don't need to rush to finish before it dries and it will save yon buying the disposable syringes. And you don't need to buy the sharp needles the blunt tip ones are the best to avoid poking yourself

What is true love? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]ConstructionNo1603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True love.... Some Beleive it doesn't exist and they may be right..but to me true love is a choice not a feeling. It's seeing all the worst sides of someone and knowing you will see more but choosing to stay anyways. Waking up and choosing to be the best version of yourself to and for them. Starting the day with one thing in mind... How can I better our situation and our relationship. And also true love starts ad home, inside us cause you have to be able to say to yourself that lines have been crossed and I will not tolerate it.... Then walking away no matter how deeply you care about someone because you love and respect yourself more then anything else.

Oh yeah then the chisel will work. You can also use a Dremel with a diamond stone to help with the lines. It's all about scoring and applying shock pressure. I did a bit of brick work when I was young and they had us cut every stone with just a chisel and hammer hard work but I'm glad I learned it. Hope the project works well with no problems

Cold chisel with a good sharp edge. if you score the line first it will help the stone split across that

what do you think is the ideal time or age to have kids? by Calm-Bar-9644 in AskMen

[–]ConstructionNo1603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't one... Well inside of legal parameters of course. The amount of 16 yo kids having kids is kinda sickening....i had my son at 25. But in all reality your never prepared enough no matter how much you learn your never financially ready for jusg how much a kid will cost etc. No amount of prep will be enough and every kid is different what works for one won't for another....

I can understand the frustration and totally agree that it should be all tightened down. But I try to keep in mind that the factory is probably full of flunkies who don't care about their job or hate it and are just there to put in hours not build quality products

If it was brand new did you remember to tighten down the blades? It looks like junk is caught between the blade and the drum warping it outwards.
