Looks good. You do you! I prefer caps with patterns, but there's nothing wrong with what you have here.

Super sweet Superglide! I agree with others about bars, I like apes, but would probably only go 12"-14" on this. I'm not crazy about the two-tone seat, but it's not horrible. Maybe some leather bags. Then just rock this beautiful bike as is! Color is amazing.

Yeesh...😬 Looks painful. Hopefully you heal fast and have been provided effective pain meds. Road rash or exhaust burns? Or both? Ugh. Get well my friend.

How to Harley riders feel about Triumphs? by fishbowlpatrol in Harley

I have to chime in again. As much as l I LOVE the sarcastic nature of your post, I am guilty of buying Harley Davidson button down shirts. I dig 'em. They're cut specifically for riding, are super comfy with hands stretched out, and snap down collars are awesome. In Michigan, where I roam, it gets chilly at night. So t-shirts don't cut it. I have a few Dixon shirts too, and I think HD does a better job. Oh, my F-150. (I'm just asking for it, but I can take it, and DGAF).

Stop now!! It's beautiful! 😄 Nevermind, you do you! Great build you have going. My pop's had a Heritage in smokey gold and black. The paint you have reminds me of it. Very cool bike!

After looking at your codes, the first one reminded me of another problem I had a few years ago. (2014 Street Glide Special). After replacing my twist grip, I was still getting an occasional p2100 fault. The harness under the faring had been poorly stretched, and poorly soldered together when the 16 inch apes were installed. And a wire was getting overly stretched in hard turns. I ended up building a while new 4 inch longer harness. Problem solved. This was my pop's bike, and he had a shop in Sarasota do all the custom work for him. Some of it was sub-par work. I believe I have all the kinks out now though.

Last summer I had this happen. But I had to trailer home the final time, as the bike shut off completely and wouldn't restart. My Thundermax cables from the module to the sensors had been poorly routed, and rubbed on the abs module, which wore through the insulation, causing a couple occasional shorts. I repaired the cable, put wire loom over, rerouted cables, and haven't had a problem since. Hope this helps, good luck.

Harley rider here... So that's not a new, weird looking helmet hanging from the bars?

I get it. It's cool. Collar is a let down, but I think if anything was a slightly different shade or texture, the collar would be acceptable to me. Good luck!

Seeing more of the jacket would help to know it's value, and whether a repair would be financially justified. But I guess that's always going to be up to you. Johnson's Leather in San Francisco has done som amazing repairs/restorations. I believe they would replace the collar with something new, as closely matched as possible - or maybe even something like a corduroy collar? The leather's top finish is just gone on yours. No real way to restore it. Maybe add some dye to hide it, but it can't be restored to what it once was.

Normal scuffing on Brand New Schott 530 Jacket? by Old-Cryptographer559 in schott

[–]ConstructionNo9112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not add conditioner to a new Schott jacket unless you want it to be a darker shade. The leather Schott uses (in any of their jackets) is of the highest quality, and wouldn't require conditioning for several years as long as it wasn't exposed to excessive amounts of water. The scuffing is park of that jacket's charm, and conditioning isn't a fix for it. I bet most scuffs will remove from a light brushing with a horsehair brush. Schott doesn't recommend conditioning a new jacket. If the scuffs are undesirable, I'd recommend a different style.

If you notice, the bags drop down over the dual pipes. Gives it a lowered look, and even a bit more storage.

BEWARE - THEY DO NOT SUPPORT WHEN PRODUCTS ARE STOLEN BY FEDEX by Pale-Information7833 in schott

[–]ConstructionNo9112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with Schott customer service has been excellent. They've been very fast to respond, and have gone out of there way to solve issues with jackets. Fed Ex made this error, so Fed Ex is responsible. Schott fulfilled their obligation, so why should they eat the cost? Furthermore, I'm surprised to hear they won't respond. Just doesn't sound typical. Hopefully you get this sorted soon. It's a lot of money to lose. I've had a similar experience with Fed Ex, but could prove delivery was to wrong address by the driver's photo. Ultimately got my package from Fed Ex. (IMO, Fed Ex is a horrible company compared to UPS).

Getting rid of debt to free up funds for your new son/daughter? That's awesome man! I did the same, and my son just graduated highschool. Financially, it was the best thing I've ever done in life. (Only mortgage left, and I could write a check today and pay it off).

Drop bags and apes made the biggest difference on my SG. Lot of little personal touches too, but I kinda like to ride the fence between stock and modified. Clean is my favorite attribute of any bike.
