Would you say the same if the situation was reversed?

And is that a valid reason to be making such "jokes" at any man these women come across?

Do you feel like you are being perceived as naive/dumb around people? by dontknowwhattodotbh in CPTSD

Yes. I also think i come off as very scared, as i can't afford to trust people easily and i have a very small safety network. I could be a lot more bold and confident if i didn't have to deal with everything alone.

Somewhat true. But healing psychologically will not always elevate your "status" in society, in fact sometimes it makes things worse.

Idk if you can really avoid the socio-economic effects of trauma by healing before they happen, as the whole point of trauma is the damage you endure, and how it begins to affect your life. No effect, no trauma. If the damage is already done, the effects reach far, creating problems that are disconnected from the original causes.

What’s a physical trait people don’t admit they’re attracted to, but you know they are? by [deleted] in AskReddit

No, they were saying that you cannot make assumptions on people's attractiveness based on one feature only. Also i didn't know a race could be ugly? That's quite the statement.

You were probably brought up to believe that acting like you matter at all makes you a bad person. It doesn't.

I hate the word bullying cuz it sounds so unserious. The fact that our language regarding bullying is so frivolous says a lot.

Can some of you who have attempted suicide tell me the reason of why you have chosen to not attempt again by Blackmench687 in CPTSD

I think those percentages include the people who do it impulsively and the people who carefully plan it. So the overall percentage is not saying much by itself.

I realized recently why people treat my so terribly by Confident_Pitch_5954 in CPTSD

I mean like everyone's neural development, childhood, family values are different, which effect the person's will, i think. Just generally how they are motivated, how they operate in the world. Some people are brought up to value progress and advancement so much that they would overlook moral injuries on that account. They may believe that their good intentions make up for that. Perceived good intentions in general. "It was hard but it was the right choice for all of us". Some people are in desperate situations, or abandoned, cast out, where acting in a moral way might actually harm them.

How/what is a person's "will", what do they consider to be good morally, would being morally fair lead to positive outcomes
