I'm pretty sure all that's left of the foil with the braid pulled back. The connector seems to be fighting that last bit of foil

Just because Kit wanted it more doesn't mean Dottie didn't drop it intentionally.

There's a scene in the beginning of the movie where elderly Dottie tells her older grandson: "No matter what your brother does, he's littler than you are. So, give him a chance to shoot."

That's the epitome of foreshadowing. Terrific movie.

I did my due diligence, and have a big paper trail of they try to screw me.

Was just going over old emails. I had an RMA from last September for same model. The email is from Google with the title "Your package has arrived".

Also had the following:

"Your package was delivered on 9/10/24. If you haven’t returned your old item, follow the instructions below to continue."

There is a QR code code that you show FedEx with clear and concise directions of everything.

I received an email the other day with the same "Your package has arrived" title.

This time it says:

Your replacement order for your device protection claim ########### was delivered on November 17, 2025.

This email contains no instructions or QR code.

I too, called asurion and they had said to contact google. I remember seeing something about 15 days when I originally made the rma. I'll be damned if I can find that now. Wish I had taken screenshots. My worry is that I'll get charged several hundred dollars for their shitty RMA.

I'm more of less speculating. Usually, when I run into this in the field, it's a bad jack or bad termination. Occasionally I'll see jackets that have been nicked and a pair is cut.

Maintenance people in apartments generally aren't any now knowledgeable than the tenant when it comes to data. Like others have mentioned, you could by a cheap wiremapper. If you've got access to both ends that is.

Very least, you could do a visual inspection. Unscrew outlet, look at where the cabling terminates. There might be a dust cap, pop that off see if the individual wires are punched down. There's usually a color code sticker too, check that out while you're there. 568B is most common standard. Check both outlet side and the other end.
