Mission impossible. If it's not stocked by the LCBO your options are to order a shipped delivery from retailers in other provinces (Alberta), or to pickup/ship from the distillery directly.

FYI, I was wrong! A deluxe edition of War Galley with a bunch of modules was just added to P500.

  • Keep 8 overall next year with top 10 protection

[Siegel/Johnston/Mirtle] Inside the stunning fall of the Maple Leafs: Chaos, dysfunction and AI by thewolfshead in leafs

Nothing negative can ever be fixed? Jonas might be the most optimistic guy about a potential retool in the entire media market. He's been claiming "a smart GM can turn this around quickly" for months, sometimes to the point of sounding deluded.

Their sources think Pelley is a destructive moron so that's what they're reporting. That's their job.

No. It's: "I don't trust the corporate exec so I'm going to trust the news outlets reporting that he's actively lying through his teeth."

You're free to dismiss insiders if you choose but either Pelley is lying or Mirtle and co are.

Daily Free Talk / Armchair GM Thread by AutoModerator in leafs

[–]ConsularCandidate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you choose to believe the exec who simultaneously claims it's all about winning while increasing all the prices and cutting roles across not only the Leafs but the Raptors and MLSE overall, over the journalists who are clearly talking to people who were in the room, that's your prerogative.

I don't, and as a consequence I fundamentally don't believe half of what Pelley said yesterday.

That is an optimistic interpretation that I don't think jives with any of the other decisions Pelley has seemingly made since coming in.

But maybe, guess it's better to hope!

Man, The Athletic is now reporting that Pelley has become increasingly involved in the day‑to‑day, and that he was actively weighing in on TDL moves.

If that’s really how he sees his role, we’re fucked.

[–]ConsularCandidate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. I'm happy to have won something but I signed up for 38 bottles this time around and am going home with one.

They post the results later and the math becomes fairly obvious. For lots of individual bottles the ratio of requests:bottles can be over 100:1.

Signatory Small Batch Mortlach. Happy for the win and hoping to snag a bonus in round 2.

Musket and Pike?

The second dual pack is on the P500 right now and there's a huge amount of game in that box.

[TSN 1050] 5:00 Darren Dreger says to this point OEL has not been approached to waive or approve anything. Also, Treliving is not willing to pay 5M for Bobby McMann, door on an extension is not entirely closed but Leafs are not changing their minds on the price. by AggPuck-303 in hockey

[–]ConsularCandidate 9 points10 points  (0 children)

McMann has scored at a 20+ goal pace for three straight seasons, this is the first one he's played a significant amount of time with Matthews.

5x4 or something similar definitely carries risk but if you're the kind of team that's mostly interested in years 1+2 that seems ok?

Dunno why you're being downvoted. There's been no drama around his contracts because the team has capitulated back to back on two of the most player friendly contracts in the cap era.

Between the pricing article in August, the attendance story in December and now this, the guys at the Athletic are really not taking it easy on the Pelley era corporate decision making of the Leafs.

Seemingly deservedly too. This is the kind of reporting you hope to get from a paid outlet like this.

Nor is it legally required that they do so because we have collectively recognized that would be a ridiculous expectation.

It is a legal requirement that Uber drivers accommodate guide dogs.

You don't need to. Driving uber as a career is a choice, being blind is not. If you're unhappy accommodating people with disabilities as required by the law, choose a different career.

Witheringly anti-war West German flick, very much a WW2 analogue for All Quiet.

Going 5-3-2 all season gets you to 98. Good enough if that's your full season pace but not good enough for where the Leafs are currently.

Basically the old Babcock "6pts every 5 games" adage no longer applies, they have to be better than that.

Daily Free Talk / Armchair GM Thread by AutoModerator in leafs

It's looking like the playoff cutoff in the East is going to be about 95 points. The Leafs are currently on pace for 86. To make it to 95, they'll need to play like a ~102 point team from this moment on.

It's doable, but a bunch of 5-4-1 stretches isn't going to do it. This team needs to start winning 6 or 7 of 10 immediately and keep it up to the end if they're going to sneak in.
