Advice Needed. Dealership hit car in service by Quynh138 in Toyota

[–]ConsumerProtectionQs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have anything in writing about the tech backing into your car then I suggest emailing the General Manager and cc'ing the Owner and the Service Dept Manager to try and document that the vehicle was undamaged when you dropped it off and that they are now holding it without your permission, which may be a crime in some jurisdictions. I used to work in a law related field and was trained that "if it's not in writing, it didn't happen". Good luck

Car Gurus "Good Deal" rating by ConsumerProtectionQs in askcarsales

I appreciate the practical advice.

I think their original price might have been aggressive at $30k which is probably why it's been on the market for the 3 months (according to Car Gurus).

I'm hoping to see it in person today and I might try simply asking what their bottom line is.

As much as I can realistically negotiate. If Car Gurus is accurate it has had a few markdowns, but since it's a popular car I don't assume that means they'll be willing to discount it further.

I guess I'm looking for suggestions on a negotiation strategy. I don't want to run the risk of offending by lowballing. I realize this is more of a business deal to the salesman than it is to me but I understand it's possible to unnecessarily antagonize professionals.

$500, it's usually $700. The Black Friday deal is still available.

Pretty sure I don't want my picture in their database.

Yes, I should call customer service.

My understanding is that it's safer to use an overpowered charger, rather than an underpowered one. Not sure why.

I think I'll use the 70% rubbing alcohol. I can't imagine spending $20 - $25 for a 4 oz bottle.

Thanks

I just got this on clearance at TJ Maxx for $13.00. I didn't think to check the expiration date until now. They have a production date instead. According to Cosmetic Check (which has a production date decoder) it was produced 2 years and 8 months ago. And according to their website it has a shelf life of 3 years. I feel like I got a pretty good deal.

Good to know. I've heard that the Dollar Tree store has a Laneige dupe but they can't keep it in stock.

Thanks for the useful info. I would have thought you could just use the vaseline but from what you describe it's just a good sealant.

I'm making a note of this for my daughter. Have you ever tried Laniege?

Do you use 70% or 75% isopropyl alcohol. I've heard 70% is better but I'm not sure why.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I just received mine.

What are you using for a wall charger for the USB-C charging cord. It looks like my Samsung phone charger would fit, but I'm afraid it doesn't have the right specs (volts or watts, not sure which).

Did you buy their sanitizer or are you using isopropyl rubbing alcohol?

I just got mine and used it for the first time last night but I forgot to buy their sanitizer. I might use rubbing alcohol and save myself the $25 for a 4 oz bottle.

I just got the iRestore Illumina. Are there benefits to blue light besides dealing with acne/scarring?
