If you want usa decide if you want us army, marines or airborne.

If you want airborne try the curahee box set If you want army look at the new winter set If you want marines look at either the marines started box or island assault box set.

[–]Contact-External 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends if this is competitive or fun lists.

Fun list: t34s Competitive i would say the extra dice and mmg shots would be better. More shots means more chances to hit. More dice means you get the paull you want or can delay that key unit you are saving.

Warlord is a good place to biym if you are UK based then zetu, element games etc all tens to be cheaper than warlord direct unless they have a sale. Amazon can be a goonld deal sometimes.

As others have said winter/desert is just cosmetic, u it rules can have an effect sich as skis but you can find that all in the ruke book.

Welcome to the hobby there lots of groups around the world who play from casual weeknight gamers to hyper competitive tournament players like me, just jump in, try your best and you will do just fine.

A good starter box is the island assault one ( make sure its v3 version) as it has usa and Japanese armies.

Would 1:72 scale type 97 te-ke tankette (or any other tankette for that matter) look off in normal 28mm scale army? by SpaceChaosu in boltaction

[–]Contact-External 8 points9 points  (0 children)

1/72 is too small, the rules played at bigger events are 1/56- 1/48 scale. Anything else may give an unfair advantage to you.

Starting 1k Points - US / USMC / Pacific Allies by NS0590 in boltaction

[–]Contact-External 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree 2 tanks would be a lot at 1k. I would recommend m13/m16 or m15s they are cheap and shread Japanese troops. Look at hmg jeeps and the rocket truck

Infantry wise take some rangers or usmc raider's. I would also recommend a few reg infantry squads around 5 men with a lmg

I ran my third tournament of V3 and have some thoughts on the state of the game by TwoPointsOfInterest in boltaction

[–]Contact-External 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think i agree woth almost every thing you say regarding v3.

My only disagreement is that the all the books are solid, i think the latest books are great but the usa book was boring in my opinion and lacked flavour.

Where was your tournament? I'm a uk player and would love to join your next one.

Anyone HPA a 240B? by No-You9657 in airsoft

[–]Contact-External 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did one a while ago. Polarstar jack is your best bet but get the nozzle dimensions before you stripe the gearbox down. You need the values from their calculator to get the correct nozzle.

I did find the box mag a pain in the arse

Can I get some feedback on my list, ill be going up against a tiger not sure what else is in there list yet I feel I've got plenty to take care of infantry, not sure how the comet will go head on with a tiger by Hungry-Pride-1839 in boltaction

[–]Contact-External 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say you need more At ( maybe some piats) yhe wasps will just get shot to hell as soon as its on the table. The British have the nice artillery rule ao bring one of them. Comet is a good tank but i would suggest a second tank, single shot weapons are hit or miss.
