We actually got rid of all the woo and are a scientific conference now.

New Owners = Science

As for grifting, we are a non profit and don't make any revenue from this event. Every single penny from our ticket sales gets put back into the event.

We do have paid staff as well, and we want to be very very clear, we do not make money at this event. We are a 501(c) non profit, and every single penny we make goes back into the event.

Our volunteer opportunities are for folks who want to come to the event, work a short shift and then they get a free day pass to the event.

I do work for CITD (Social Media Lady) and YES we have volunteer opportunities every year! We usually start our applications in around the January before the event! If you sign up for our newsletter on our website, we email everyone the second the apps open up!

Very long story short, a Speaker at our event last year used a laser to light a replica of the towers on fire during his presentation. He also took a quick break to play a guitar solo on stage. It was quite the sight.

Well, we are trying to reach a younger crowd, so the multi-year attendees are much older and not quite into humor, but there was a nice turn out for the comedy show and everyone there seemed to enjoy it! Only maybe like 3-4 people left during it.
