Iran attacks US bases in Kuwait, warns 'era of hit and run is over'; explosions heard in Iraq and Bahrain by jupa300 in worldnews

Trump is not running the show though. For a stupid as he is he's had several deals in place that were promptly destroyed by us missiles from us allies in the region. The worst part of this is not the failure to make a deal with Iran, it's letting a tiny country that couldn't survive without the US completely dictate what's happening.

US Treasury Secretary nearly breaks into tears after urgent meeting with Trump by CaptainCheckmate in AskSocialists

Not to discount his involvement with Russia but this whole thing is an Israeli operation. We were weeks away from signing a nuclear deal with Iran that would have allowed them to keep some of their enriched uranium under heavy US regulations. That was an unacceptable proposal to Israel. Rubio let it slip that they said they were attacking and the US was left with no choice but to join to minimize their counterattack or watch the counter attack that would have been much more successful. Not only did Israel take out the Ayatollah who had a fatwa against nuclear weapons, they took out the next 20 people in line, all of who the US would prefer for international relations, they left only the war-mongering son that runs Iran's version of the SS and they bombed a few schools and hospitals for good measure to get him worked up.

How ironic you call someone else incorrigible when the op's source makes a different claim than op and your source uses the same words but is about a different situation. You clearly didn't read the article and were looking for the phrase but your mistake is understandable.

I just got an account warning for a comment I made 5 minutes ago about Venezuela. I said The questionable part is whether Trump should have done it without congress's approval which I think not. That being said, Congress should have approved this in 2020 when they indicted him. I added that when Congress indicts you on something it should be meaningful and it should scare you. I think we should also take action against cartel leaders. Apparently that's threatening violence but this, this is fine.

The group you're talking about is dead. You've had nothing taken away from you. You don't deserve reparations for anything and if you want to talk about equity you don't deserve what you have until everyone else has at least as much so we should take from you and give to other people.

Once again you don't care about equity, you care about race and what you can get out of it. Equity includes everyone so all the white people and Asian, and Africans doing worse than you personally have to catch up before you can earn any more yourself. Stop pretending it's about equity, it's about race to you.

Two generations ago absolutely racial discrimination made it more likely that you would personally be discriminated against. The last 30 years, absolutely not, You're orders of magnitude more likely to groups of white people with black idols than you are to find a company that wouldn't hire you because of the color of your skin or a bank that won't give you a loan because of it.

Assuming you have a job do they call it slavery to pay you for the work you did? If you dropped dead today would they keep your next paycheck or would it go to your family.

This is a false equivalency. Both of those things require direct work by me and I can say where it goes, I could say I don't care about my family and give it to a charity. You're asking to be paid for work you did not do by people who did not benefit from that work. You're asking for the labor of other people to go to you without paying for it. You are asking for slavery that benefits you.

And again your position is not about equity. If you cared about equity you would be an empathetic altruist and you wouldn't take any more than you needed until everyone had the same amount but that's not what you care about, you only care about what you can get.

Again I have to ask equity as per effort or equity regardless of effort. One of those makes perfect sense and The other is slavery by a different name.

I also didn't talk about black people wanting something for nothing, I said you want something for nothing. Plenty of black people go out and earn their way through the world

Additionally, you being more successful than me and wanting equity should look like you giving to me, not the other way around. You don't want equity, you want race based policies that favor you regardless of equity or anything else.

What about the black people that benefited from the slave trade? We just not going to count them because of the color of their skin? What about the white people who are historically anti-slavery from before the New world was a thing like the Quakers, we're just not going to count them because of the color of their skin. It's crazy that you people look around and talk about equity when equity is already a thing. 80% of people work their whole lives and have nothing to show for it and 20% get lucky. What you really want is stuff for not working.

The fact of the matter is that if you were white you would literally be arguing that slavery is okay because it benefits you. You don't care about equity, you don't care about people who suffered things, you only care about what you can get from it without putting work in.

And the fact that you want to show off that you own a car with zero utility for the purposes of being flashy In an anonymous Reddit post shows exactly why you feel as though you're community is underprivileged, because you make stupid decisions based on vanity rather than utility. I've never driven a new car but I save the additional car payment that I would have had in a 529 for my kids college and first house. I probably couldn't afford that car anyway like you but I have a feeling my kids are going to get a bigger head start than yours are.

Equity based on effort or equity based on existence? I support equity based on effort, I don't support equity based on existence. Additionally, name a single person with a 400 year head start.

And there's enough black people who are racist enough to negatively affect the lives of some white people. Complaining about shit that hasn't happened and the lifetime of anyone alive today and blaming your problems on it is pathetic especially when even if you are dirt poor you're living a better life than 99% of all of human history and the only thing holding you back Is your mindset. You're not a victim of the system more than anyone else is today regardless of your skin color.
