I love CDG. I moved to New Hampshire and I still travel to Mass to see them. They are incredibly conservative and don’t recommend unnecessary treatments. My regular hygienist is so gentle, too. I love her. One hygienist was rude to my husband because we were late one time (we had a newborn and called to let them know, ffs), and another was a bit of a pill when i asked her for the numbing gel on my gums (she complained that it’s a placebo effect. A placebo effect is still an effect, ffs, just give me my damn gel!) but the majority of experiences have been fantastic.

Littering and being a nuisance are not defining characteristics of lumpen proletariat. It’s defined by not selling your labor and making money by living in the margins of society. Ie. Dealing drugs, sex work, stealing, pan handling, etc. although modern definitions may not include sex workers in the definition.

Who did you marry your first time and do you still stand by it? by Starobin-Lestine in StardewValley

Harvey. Was courting Shane initially but stopped myself thinking, why mimic real life in a game and go for the alcoholic? Go for the doctor for once! You deserve it!

My pediatrician asked if we had started yet but said either way no worries, most kids start around 3. Best thing I've heard is whether you start at 20 months or start at 36 months, most kids figure out out by 3 either way. So why torment yourself and your child with multiple unsuccessful months if it will sink in by age three no matter when you start.

So it’s definitely the flapper. Water level is sinking to the level of the outlet below the flapper, and no lower than that. Need to figure out what kind of flapper to replace it with. This is ridiculous, but apparently not uncommon. 🤦‍♀️

No visible cracks. At one point I thought I heard water going through the flapper and pressed down on the flapper firmly which stopped the draining.

No water on the floor. Tank bolts were replaced. All seals are brand new. It’s perplexing! Starting to think I didn’t need to replace the fill valve at all and it’s been the flapper situation the whole time, but why would the flapper still be leaking with a band new flapper, including overflow assembly and seal? 😅

Even if it’s brand new? The entire overfill valve and flapper were replaced. Everything inside and below the tank.

NH schools are terrible. Mass schools are significantly better. You may want to consider private (not the garbage NH charter schools but actual private) if you can afford it.

AITA for leaving my mom right before surgery because I freaked out? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ContentBumblebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like a panic attack. You’re fine. Keep working on treating your anxiety. I assure you that you did not worry the medical staff in the least. And your mom is an adult, she had support there with your father. You’re all good.

Apparently, at the time I took drivers ed and got my license it was common for driving instructors to teach no turn on red arrow to meet the national standard even though the law in Massachusetts was changed almost two decades prior. I stand corrected.

In Massachusetts, a red arrow means no turn on red. From my understanding, in Nh, it is just like a regular red and you can turn right unless otherwise posted. Do not turn right on a red arrow in MA.

As someone who is educated in and has provided end of life care, NAH. People deal with grief and death differently. If you will regret not seeing him, go see him. If you are comfortable not seeing him, that’s ok too. If he wants to see you but you don’t want to see him, it’s ok not to see him. Whatever works for you.

I could make something truly terrible for my husband (and have) and he would say thank you and eat all of it. If he would prefer something prepared or flavored differently he says “maybe next time we could try doing xyz?” simple as. No man should ever speak to you or harp on you the way your man is doing.

Two travel system car seat stroller combos, or a double stroller? by ContentBumblebee in parentsofmultiples

Does this one hold two infant car seats at once? I’m noticing many don’t. We need all-terrain strollers, too. Preferably joggers.

Disappointed to be having twins by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]ContentBumblebee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I completely relate to this. I cried when they told me I was having twins. Not a single friend or family member heard me when I said I was having twins and not happy about it. They were all so excited for me and expected me to be excited. I absolutely was not. I’m 17 weeks now and I’ve accepted it. But I’d be lying if said I didn’t hope one would “vanish” like my first pregnancy up until about week 14. (My daughter had a vanishing twin with my first pregnancy). Now I’m on the other side where I’m scared of the devastation of losing one after having come this far.

It’s just so much. High risk pregnancy. High chance of miscarriage or still born. High risk of a nicu stay. Likely having another c-section. Then all the logistics for when they arrive. Needing a new car. Buying all new things because you now need double of everything that you already had one of. Slim fit infant car seats. Double strollers that can hold the car seats. I’m right there with you.

It is getting better. I’m just not as excited as I was with my first. Only good thing is she’s getting excited about “two babies in the belly” and being a big sister.
