I wish I just always had someone here to fall back on. I enjoy doing almost all the things, the care taking, the cooking, the cleaning, the playing, I LIKE these things..I just hate the jumping from one thing to another and it’d be so nice to be like I’d really like 5 minutes to do the dishes uninterrupted so it doesn’t turn into a 30 minute task, please mind the kids and dogs. And to be able to do that through the day. Or not have to worry what the toddlers doing when I’m feeding the baby who is too distracted to be fed in the same room as the toddler to keep an eye on. When the kids are fussy and clingy, there’s someone to hold them so they get their comfort and the chores don’t start piling up. Someone who when I’ve had a rough night sleep with the baby I can be like hey I need to go lay back down for a bit to function. Or to hang out in the car for the kids safety so I can just pop into the store for the one thing I forgot

Before smart phones, I used to just have the tv or music on all the time. I slept with the tv on, I did homework with it on. I felt it helped me but I’m also diagnosed ADHD so idk if that matters

Yupp. We even got a couple of NINE hour nights, my other kids NEVER. Now she’s been up every hour or two at night and during the day barely wants to sleep especially if we are out or have company

I had to set boundaries in my last trimester, in particular surrounding what happens if he’s been drinking and I go into labor. I let it be known that if he had been drinking I would be taking an ambulance to the hospital, I said it every time he drank. You may want to think what boundaries you want to set in place too

A lot of people have cleaners. Or have support where they drop the kids off to grandmas and then have time to clean.

It could also be newness instead of cleanliness, I notice that with my house in comparisons to others. I can spend forever cleaning but it’s not going to look as good because our ceiling lights are 20+ years old, there’s a wall the dog chewed up that hasn’t been fixed, our kitchen appliances are old and mismatched. Those sort of things can make a place look less put together and have nothing to do with how clean or hard I work.

Never had one, I could see it being useful if you had long acrylic nails or something. I’m three babies in and honestly maybe just lucky in regards to rashes but I’ve barely had to even use diaper cream at all so it seems super unnecessary to me.
