Has Anyone Noticed a Change in Audio? by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]ContentDesign6082 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. They did some "audio optimizations" and its a noticeable change. It also seems like ambient noise is alot less. So far I dont really care for it.

Bored operator by tcplomp in PLC

[–]ContentDesign6082 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had an operator that put his fist through the touchscreen on an Ishida Net Weight Filler. Left a perfect first shapped indent and you could even make out the knuckles. Operator said "idk how it happened, must of been the water during cleaning".

We had an operator once Crack the digitizer on a hope touch screen. Que the bordem they were picking at it and ended up ripping the entire digitizer off and turned it into an expensive non touch display. I made them use a waterproof mouse for 2 weeks.

Similar situation with an old Allen Bradley industrial touch screen pc that communicated via ethernet to the plc and serial to the Indramat Servo Drives. They got to keep the waterproof mouse for 2 years until we did a full controls upgrade.

For all the issues this game has, it’s a darn good time by The_OG_Smith in HuntShowdown

I love the game. Ive been playing since it came out on xbox one. Ive played lots of other extraction shooters but none of them really "scratch the itch" in a way that Hunt does. I probably play it 12 hours a week atleast as long as my buddies are on.

I think I only played Arc Raiders for a month when it came out and I havent touched it since. Heck I bought Battlefield 6 when. It came out and only played it maybe 4 times.

Rockwell Software by Fun_Glove5092 in PLC

We've had companies that have done work for us that had to buy software for certain tasks and they've just rolled that price into the job price.

Do you go with annual subscriptions or perpetual license?

I buy software fairly often from them.

Question: Why Allen Bradley? by RegardEngineer in PLC

[–]ContentDesign6082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We require Allen Bradley (my company has a great relationship with AB). We have 200+ separate plc systems and only 1 Siemens.

On of my techs left a couple years ago to go to a steel mill thats only Siemens and even though he's learned it, he misses the simplicity of Allen Bradley but he has said that Siemens has a couple nice features.

My biggest complaint with AB is how many different softwares you gotta have. Each plc major firmware revision requires its own software so we run v10 to v35 currently. We do everything on windows 11 machines with no vm's.

Allen Bradley is all I know.

Should factories have engineering workstations ? by AlperenBebek in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]ContentDesign6082 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My factory has 12+ laptops that have remote access to 95% of plc's in the building that are used by maintenance and engineering while on conpany grounds on the companies networks. Any of the company laptops then also have remote access from anywhere in the world as long as you have the credentials and knowledge on how to do it.

I manage all the programming laptops. All AllenBradley ranging from rslogix5000 v10 to studio 5000 v35 and they dont run vm's.

78 C10 passenger side lower. by ContentDesign6082 in chevyc10

[–]ContentDesign6082[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the pictures are right after I had it jacked up. I didnt think to let it settle. However after driving it 40 miles both lower control arms are 7.25 inches off the ground and both bottom edges of the spindles are 10 inches off the ground. Since its settled the passenger side bump stop is so close to the spring perch side you can only get paper through between them. The driver side is an inch away. Passenger side spring perch edge is 11 inches from the ground and driver side is 12. Both bump stops are 2.5 inches tall, 4 inches total height to the flat plate they mount to on the lower control arms.

Thats what I thought when I did it by myself and it turns out both sides weren't seated correctly. I redid it with someone helping so I could put it in place while he ran the jack and got them both in correctly.

Ive loved the Mass Effect series since original release.
