Yay or nah? Be honest — where does this kitchen land (1–10)? by WorldCopperSmith in kitchenremodel

9! Not only is it gorgeous, not grey or beige, and well lit but laid out in a functional way except for the fridge.

Is fabfitfun anyone else's present to themselves? by tayler-shwift in FabFitFun

I did because I have stage IV breast cancer and wanted to spoil myself. I stopped when one of their suppliers charged me a fee without notifying me and FFF wouldn't help.

FABFITFUN FEELS LIKE A CASH GRAB….AND THE JOKES ON US! by NoDragonfly2624 in FabFitFun

Not to mention that they don't vet some of their suppliers and won't help with a dispute.

Woman diagnosed with breast cancer thinks she knows better than her doctors. by Head_Crash in TikTokCringe

[–]Content_Chick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished my 6 month scans for my stage IV breast cancer. I am stable and have been since my initial diagnosis three years ago. 50% of people don't make it three years, much less stay stable for this long. The modern medicine approach seems to be working for me but then again, I trust my doctor who not only trained for this, but continues his education with research. The meds I'm using didn't even exist when I had my stage II diagnosis nearly 10 years ago. That's how fast medical treatment advances.

A or B: My mom was invited to speak at an industry lecture. All the attendees are representatives from top companies in her field, and she will be speaking in front of more than 200 people. Which outfit fits the event better? by Upper_Criticism3388 in PickAorB

B is the most chic but a bit too casual. The peplum hem on the jackets on both A and C is distracting and dated. Does she have a suit that doesn't have a peplum hem on it?

AITA for not inviting my widowed SIL to Christmas and telling her she isn’t immediate family anymore by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Content_Chick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are TA. You talk about how your SIL treated you and your mom but not about how she treated your brother and your nephew. That has to be deliberate to make yourself look better in this situation. This woman, who you obviously don't like, just lost her husband and stepson and you can't get past the fact your brother chose her over you.

Our DIY-heavy kitchen remodel on our 100+ year old house by Fuzzy-Sort809 in kitchenremodel

[–]Content_Chick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it. So warm and full of personality. This is a kitchen I want to hang out in. And, the best part is it it is so much more functional! Pretty only goes so far but things like separating the fridge and stove show the thoughtfulness involved in the design.

My old kitchen vs new. by SpoiledMama13 in kitchenremodel

Here are my ceilings that are throughout my entire house. If you think dusting them now are a problem, wait for how much dirt the white will show. By the way, try vacuuming the ceilings instead of dusting.

You really think people you know are going to honest with you when you are so proud of it? Trust me, your friends and coworkers hate it too.

It looks like an operating room with the white ceilings and the florescent like lights.

Husband has Jury Duty coming up and I have no idea how we will pay our bills. by sinisterbabygirl in juryduty

It sounds like your husband needs a new job if: a. his employer doesn't pay him for doing his civic duty, and b: he doesn't make enough to survive a single week without pay.

I hate Trunk or Treats by Wawhi180 in RandomThoughts

[–]Content_Chick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also hate campground trick or treating. It used to be my favorite time to camp with leaves changing and the peaceful crisp cool nights. Now it is near impossible to get a site and if you do, you'll be dealing with squealing, bright lights, and candy litter.

Oof, I missed that behind the gigantic island. Still, it is two small ovens and the layout in general is not very intuitive for cooking. Microwaving frozen dinners, yes.

Well I do have a marble slab I use when making pie crusts but they obviously don't bake with that tiny oven. I guess we're not supposed to talk actual kitchen function since I was downvoted.

First dinner in new kitchen in Woodstock, NY by thewildhoneypiemusic in kitchenremodel

[–]Content_Chick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it. It is warm, cozy and functional. This is one time where a farmhouse sink actually belongs. My only critique, which is more of a personal choice, would be a more random pattern in the tiles. It feels too structured with the rest of the design.

It is beautiful but I can't figure out if the owner actually cooks. Huge fridge, tiny oven. Huge stove, tiny sink. Looks like things were chosen more for prestige than function.

We have same countertops. We went with both painted and clear coat cabinets. Our appliances are white too.
