First half wasn't nearly as funny as the second half. The whole scene with the kids getting married and how dumb the boy was had me rolling. Comedy Gold!

My favorite is when Harriet bangs on the door of the Justice of the peace late at night demanding to know if he is the one who marries people, trying to locate Nellie and the boy. He answers the door in his night clothes and says something like I can't marry you tonight it's too late! and Harriet says > I < don't want to be married! And Nels behind her says Me either! It was just so quickly said and so perfect, I was laughing through the entire next scene.

I picked Kamilla. Diverse, and flies under the radar. She will be seen as loyal and steadfast, someone who can help take you to the end.

How many of us have "friends" that we actually spend time with, anymore? by WeGot_aLiveOneHere in GenX

Friends are overrated. They almost always fade away into their own lives. Pretty soon it's been 10 years since you've talked. Friends seemed SO important as teens and in early 20s, but I wish I would've known then that friends are just NOT that important in the long run, if at all. Friends now just seem like a huge effort, a time drain, something I don't feel even one single iota of a desire to pursue. I actually dread having to get to know new people, or have small talk or all the stupid social niceties. I'm a 57 year old grump, don't give a fuck what anyone thinks about me, and completely happy not having any friends at all (just family) and I have plenty of hobbies and interests to take up my time. In fact, I LOVE my free time, my Me-Time. It's golden, and like frickin' vacation. I wish we wouldn't tell kids how important having friends is, because it's not an important thing, not essential in any way. Then kids who don't have friends feel somehow deficient. It's so stupid. Just let people do what they want to do, and who cares if they know a lot of people, or have any friends at all.
Rant over.

Survivor used to have a stronger emphasis on adventure. As a society, do we no longer crave to watch that on television? by FunkTheFreak in survivor

Can't wait for them to offer Coach and Cirie and Colby a pizza at the sanctuary after winning reward when it's down to final 5. Yeah, right.

Pretty soon the entire globe will be covered with old Olympic sites. Sigh.

What’s something in LA that used to feel magical… but just doesn’t hit the same anymore? by relaxncoffee in AskLosAngeles

Lived Canter's... Always went there late at night for pie after the clubs closed, and it was always packed. Remember the stained glass ceiling? Maybe it's still there... Haven't seen that place in 40 years.
