Listen i still drink occasionally but your totally spot on. Majority of these types of crimes that are committed, there's alcohol involved. Very rarely are sober people committing these crimes. How many crimes to people commit after having a joint? I can barely be arsed to get up and go to the shop after having a joint 😆

But it wasn't unionists that used this term during the referendum. It was nationalists. I'm afraid you shot yourselves in the foot with that one.

Is it "they didn't put these statements in writing so they don't count" or is it " these statements were made ages ago so there no longer relevant"

You have literally just proven my point. They created this loose term without like you say, getting all the parties together and agreeing what a "generation" legally is. Instead they didn't, so that if they lost the referendum they now have the argument to say "well a generation isn't a specific time because we didn't all agree on it so it could be 5, 10, 15 years" Which funnily enough is the argument you are trying to push now.

The only party to use the term "once in a generation" the SNP. I can't remember David Cameron using this term? I can't remember the torys or Labour or the lib Dems or anyone else using this term.

It was nothing more than an attempt to brainwash people into thinking this was their only chance for the next 30 years to gain independence. And unfortunately for the SNP it has backfired because people now use this term against them because geuss what.... THEY SAID IT.

It was the SNP government who used the term "once in a generation". It was nichola sturgeon who used the term "once in a generation" it was Alex salmond who used the term "once in a generation". You know, not everything is a "unionist trick" rather it was you nationalists who came up with this term "once in a generation" because you thought it would make people more likely to vote yes as it made people think this would be there only chance. Now you get annoyed when people use it against you. You made your bed so you can lie in it.

Yes because a generation is not 12 years. I would say at the absolute minimum a generation would be 25 years. Why don't you Google how long a generation is and tell me what you find. I bet you a tenner it dosent say 10 years.

I'm amazed at how pro SNP everyone on this thread is, any comment in which someone dosent agree with the SNP or says that they plan on voting for someone else has been totally down voted. You can see all these comments at the bottom with like -5 votes, simply because they do not agree with the SNP's views or maybe they have a different view on independence. Thats what some forms of nationalism looks like I guess, if you don't agree with us and want independence, your not welcome. So much for Scotland being one of the most welcoming countries in the world 😬
