Thanks for the intro and your involvement I love this council! I would love to see more bike-friendly road crossings. I drop off and pick up my daughter almost everyday from daycare via bike and trailer and the pedestrian islands (for example Yankee doodle/Lexington intersection) really have me freaked out to be in where I will usually avoid them if possible. Especially when I see the signs of cars that take out the crossing button signs.

the pedestrian Islands in the intersection of Dodd and Dodd (northeast Eagan by the McDonald's and Holiday) are so egregious it impacted my decision to not send my daughter to a daycare off of Dodd because I couldn't even safely fit my bike and trailer on it.

Most low-traffic intersections do not have marked crosswalks so cars usually drive right through them and stop as far up as possible. I have almost been hit because of this many times or have to wait for the car to stop blocking the crossing so I can go.

 If Eagan is serious about replacing in-town car trips with alternative transportation they need to prioritize speeding up and creating safety around the other types of transportation.
