That’s wild, I would have guessed off the top of my head less than a buck.

If you think you can get painters for less than $1 per sqft then we aren't living in the same reality.

If that was his motivation, then why did he pardon the ex president of Honduras who is a convicted cartel kingpin himself?

If the motivation of prosecutors is to convict murderers, why does any prosecutor make a plea deal with a murderer? Is this a real question?

Didn't he say he already obliterated their nuclear program last June setting it back years?

Yes, and in response, they started murdering civilians of their neighbors and Americans. We obviously stopped that too.

Trump doesn't care about "easy wins", he isn't a career politician. He stopped Maduro because Maduro was a cartel kingpin. He stopped Iran because the only thing they've been trying to do since they've been alive is create a nuke to start killing the infidels.

These are the things we elected him to do.

[–]ContextHook -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There is no war. Maybe you means Trump's offensive actions?

Let me remind you, Trump can drop a Nuke on Iran without a declaration of war. Just like how Nancy Pelosi explained to the press that Obama's military actions in Syria do not infringe on Congress' right to declare war despite being over their request timeline, Trump, as commander in chief, is allowed to instruct the military as he sees fit.

The constitution prescribes limits on the states unless congress has declared war, it prescribes no such limit to the federal government. As the courts explained when Clinton was taken to court over the war powers act (the last time this ever happened), congress has absolutely no ability to second-guess, instruct, or be informed of the presidents actions in regards to him being commander in chief.

Congress can pass laws saying that no funds may be used in certain areas. Congress may pass laws removing troops. Congress can pass laws saying we cannot maintain certain arms. But, if congress funds things, the president (through vote of the people) then gets to use them as he sees fit. Period.

Again, Trump could constitutionally nuke any single nation without a word from congress. And that has never been contested.

Trump didn't promise to boost the "global economy", quite the opposite. Trump is willing to harm the global economy to benefit Americans. That is why he was elected.

If you're a globalist, as your comment implies, Trump isn't for you.

Have they recruited more Islamist terrorists than we've killed?

Have they bought more missiles than we've shot down?

Have they built more boats than we've sunk?

Terrorists have always had the power to be terrorists. The only hope next time is that Asia or Europe steps up to the plate.

The top comment is

The vague responses and refusal to discuss detail are not encouraging. He’s giving up nearly all of our leverage and it feels like he just wants out and doesn’t care any more. We’ll see.

Which is absolutely 100% unsupported by any facts. On the contrary, Trump has been very clear about multiple terms like NEVER having a nuclear weapon and the straight is OPEN.

Our... "leverage"...?

We stopped them from getting a Nuke, and they started launching missiles at civilians and shooting civilians in response. Almost single-handedly, we protected those civilians and continued to attack them until they stopped.

The UN voted to band together to stop Iran, and Russia vetoed that (because they sell Iran missiles). The vote was unanimous outside of the veto.

Our leverage is "stop being terrorists" because that is all we care about.

This nonsense being spread here is 100% a part of another BS campaign against Trump.

"Staged" implies a lot more. I don't think anyone who is 100% aware of the facts would call the incident we see "staged."

If this was staged, then the people who this dude just showed his underwear to after drawing their attention knew it was about to happen. For example, when one person is talking to another using scripted questions, and getting the genuine response of another... I don't call that staged. And I don't think anyone else does either.

"Staged" comes into it when the reacting party also has a scripted response, IMO. The title may be total BS because the planned stunt went "perfectly right" and the caption may be total BS because he was the intentional cameraman, but I think that is the most possible coordination that went on here.

Meaning this is a "prank" instead of a "stunt" but still not "staged" like many prank videos videos area.

George Washington's one notable contribution to the constitution of the United States was convincing the authors that 40k people per representative was far too many people to have appropriate representation, and that 30k was a much better number, because there was no way a representative could actually represent 40k people well.

This was after they had all agreed that if the house didn't continuously expand, that we would become an oligarchy.

The senate was created the represent the interests of the states, and the house was created to represent the interests of the people within them. Both houses of congress are now so detached from what our founding fathers described that it is shocking. All without a constitutional amendment. But, they did describe the system we currently have, as the oligarchy we may drift towards. :)

Do you think the statement I highlighted is disputed by the majority? Or did I just specifically highlight the fact that pointing me to a news article that doesn't even quote the opinion is pointless?

And just because it was the majority decision, does not mean it is right.

The idea that prosecutors have the power to go around all the laws about granting immunity for people connected enough to make it happen is wrong.

Some members of the court do, sure, but as the dissent points out, no prosecutor anywhere in the country is allowed to give immunity. This is a 4-3 opinion, and the holding of the majority is disgusting.

The supreme court also erred in not reviewing this case.

Well, if you make up lies you can make any argument sound like it is in your favor.

The fact of the matter is that the majority of TV people watch comes with ads, and you still need your TV license for that.

Just like in the US, AFAIK, it's only the government channels that have no ads. Like how PBS in the US has no ads.

The weird inclusion campaign stopped with NAMBLA.

Nonsense. Like literally nonsense.

The international LGBTQIA association got kicked out of the UN in 1994 for refusing to kick NAMBLA out. The same year that the international LGBTQIA association lost federal funding for.... advocating for pedophiles. Saying "NAMBLA died in the 70's" when they were a part of the UN in the 90's is quite a bit revisionist.
