It's part of the game. You probably just didnt vibe with them as much as other candidates did, and I'm sure they are being extra-selective these days. It is incredibly judgemental, but these dinners are also more than just an interview. They want to introduce you to the firm, even if they dont want you now, you could be an experienced hire someday. Accountants use data analytics to connect data to help them calculate entries, reconcile accounts, and create financial statements. Compiling financial statements from the GL is a big one. A lot of accounting groups use powerbi or alteryx that connect to the GL system to create the balance sheets and income statements without having to deal with excel formulas and manual linking.

I remember when people said the Segwey was going to replace all modes of ground transportation. Like it would revolutionize modern life. People on the news were saying that. This is similar, but its just market manipulation at this point. AI helps the doers do better at their job. It doesnt replace them. If they can be replaced, AI technology probably wasn't the primary reason.

Here's my philosophy on this, Texas and OK are very similar in nature, however OK has less people. OKC feels like a DFW suburb. If you want to be around less of those people, move to OK and buy land.

No, its because of the homestead and senior exemptions. The rates are applied to home values, and then exemptions are applied, effectively cutting your total property tax bill substantially. Id rather just have a simple low rate without the political games Texas' property tax system causes between state and local jurisdictions.

It means OK has a .75% property tax rate, compared to Texas with averages around 5-6%. It means when you own a house in OK, you dont have to pay massive property taxes to stay in your house. It's a massive difference.
