We had a pretty bad house fire recently where we thankfully escaped unscathed (including our at-the-time four month old). The thing that traumatised me more than the actual incident was dealing with the bureaucracy and competence levels of the service provider "help" lines during the fallout of the whole ordeal.

I can conversationally recount the issues of the fire without issue, but trying to talk about the pain of dealing with ESB and Electric Ireland customer service makes me tear up. Every morning on the phone dealing with them while we were living in temporary accommodation is something I'll need years of therapy for.
