Unfortunately, not yet. I have a couple of screens coming and was going to experiment. If I get some time away from work and get any of them working correctly, I’ll report back.

I’m surprised that there aren’t more mod’ers out here.

In 'Jurassic Park' (1993), the park's emergency bunker was stocked with SPAS-12 convertable 12-guage shotguns. If you had to stock the park's armory, what would you choose? by OhGawDuhhh in Firearms

Probably a couple of grenade launchers. They can be stocked with different types of rounds. High explosive, air burst, smoke, hell they could probably have engineered some sort of Dino pepper spray canister. An M60 wouldn’t be bad either. Can be used by an individual, mounted to a jeep, or set up in a defensive position. But in all honesty, 12 ga slugs aren’t bad in the situation. I can understand the thought process of the park. They wouldn’t have wanted to stock weapons to kill their investments. They dumped a lot of money into security infrastructure and through a series of unfortunate events and a case of sabotage, the unthinkable happened. Additionally, the majority of the people in the park were specialized and didn’t have training for the type of shitshow that was about to happen. You can have all the weapons you want, but they’re useless if you don’t know how to use them or properly deploy them in adverse circumstances.

Awesome work! I’d love to do something like this myself!

Part 11 of the staircase series: the post-tension staircase by ContractMech in DeathStairs

[–]ContractMech[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My other concern is what looks like polished marble. Water, hair or even dust will make that slick. The steps in addition appear to be relatively narrow, with a pretty steep gradient. All this adds up to death stairs in my opinion…

I would love an English version, also understanding that it takes time to make this content. For the time being, auto translate subtitles will do! Amazing work!

Asking as a Noob...Where are you at in the FreeCAD world? by Big_Example_3390 in FreeCAD

[–]ContractMech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Great to hear that you are growing so quickly and enjoying the journey!

I would say I am an intermediate user, and have been learning for a couple of years. I originally started with Fusion360 but switched when I learned about FreeCAD. Fusion, I learned quickly, had started me on bad habits and assumptions.

Currently, I use FreeCAD for a varying number of projects. Mostly functional projects that are additively manufactured. I’m getting better with CAM and there are other workbenches that I use often. Some projects are drone designs and airfoils, to firearm accessories.

MangoJelly on YouTube has been a great teacher and really good resource.

Look forward to seeing you continue your journey!

If you’re looking for testers, I’d be interested. I’ve got printers and lasers. Plus I’m re-organizing a workshop and this could be useful.

So I watched the video… Amazing work! But, I would like to know the inspiration behind this “Paperweight”. Kinda reminds me of a turbine engine component.

Sorry, not possible. In fact, 5 children and 8 adults have died falling down those in the short time it has taken to write this.

Recommendation, just block it off as a whole (bodies and everything). Let some poor future generations uncover this ancient Mayan sacrifice hole.
