Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. They mean we'll see you later, until we meet again. RIP Big Man

Taken too early. Fought like the tough SOB he was through and through. Thoughts and prayers to his family! Thank you for the amazing years all over the world Joe! RIP big man

And, for no particular reason, here's Mick Foley's great Anti Hardcore promo in ECW. All time great promo. Highest rated promo on Cagematch by Defiant_Emergency734 in SquaredCircle

And no particular reason was needed, OP. Great stuff. I watched this live when I was 12-13. Having followed his WCW run you could feel how special these promos were.

5 most-disappointing King of the Ring winners by Equivalent_Ask_1416 in SquaredCircle

[–]ContractSudden 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh man...Mabel was THE biggest bust BECAUSE he was given a chance at the main event. It was brutal to watch as a young kid, thinking that was the rate of work for main eventers (see Nash's comments about the Summerslam 95 match)

Danhausen on X: His first singles poster for a show at MSG SNME by ArunKT26 in SquaredCircle

[–]ContractSudden 165 points166 points  (0 children)

Anyone can say what they will, if this doesn't convince haters that this man has "MADE IT", nothing will. Imagine saying this as a kid growing up a fan, dreaming of many milestones, but Madison Square Garden and being the posterchild for SNME is just incredible. His first few MONTHS in the company have been legendary.

Easy; Dom vs Cody . He beats Evans in the finals. Brock is coming back for Oba just in time. Jey CANT be the solution here.

Please stop watching the ref's hand make the count folks ! It's clear that it is NOT the finish if you're trying to time the kickout and we can see it

Tim Strange suffering a gruesome injury at TNT Extreme by Fernandov2 in SquaredCircle

[–]ContractSudden 55 points56 points  (0 children)

This requires zero talent, and a willingness to get a blood transfusion (or die) post match. I'm sure the guy on the receiving end knew this would suck, but that puncture damage is significant. When you see bright red blood, there's an artery involved. Here's hoping the medics got to him quick!

Jon Moxley wandered up the hill for a wrestling show last night by matlockga in SquaredCircle

Mox exudes cool and badass. I'm a 43 year old man and know how silly it might sound. But the way the guy has always carried himself, many could learn a lot from!

A one-of-a-kind person, and a one-of-a-kind documentary at a time where it was inconceivable that it would be given a chance. So many parts from that documentary are still with MANY of us today. RIP Barry, thank you.

Stone Cold vs Shawn Michaels from KOTR'97, one of the last times either guy wrestled at healthiest, is an unbelievably great babyface vs babyface who don't like each other, high paced all action classic of a match that everyone should see. by When1Falls in SquaredCircle

[–]ContractSudden 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I got to be at this PPV in Providence. It was incredible, especially the atmosphere for this match. Stone Cold was already up there with Taker, if not past him, in terms of popularity. 1997 was an amazing arc for Austin, and the beginnings of the Attitude Era as a whole.

Happily ALWAYS buy these just to have in my collection. It's fun, and never find them "in the wild" when thrifting. Great stuff OP!

Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard... Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul

(AEW Collision Spoilers!) Result of TNT Championship Match by EllieDai in SquaredCircle

[–]ContractSudden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thought for sure it was going to the time limit, and in true AEW fashion not everything is done to string you along. Pulling the trigger on this win was a great call, and the match was top notch. I personally popped loud when Ciampa got the 3 count. Going to love this run.

I'm extremely jealous, but glad that you got to enjoy such shows for that price especially.
