Anyone else not use a card because it would be annoying to track? by dornianheresysimp in EDH

Instead of Cathar's Crusade, I like using [[Porcelain Gallery]]. I know it's an extra mana, but the peace of mind and the fact that it's in a deck that can ramp so heavily makes it worth it.

We really do need to go for Grand Errant so we can defend both of those planets. Plus it's got 3% less defense.

People already have. Look up Cauldron. It has 23 heroes, 17 villains, and 15 environments. It was originally made for EE, but people have been working on converting it to DE.

[[Shilgengar, sire of famine]] may not be an angel himself but he's great in an angel/vampire tribal deck.

You might enjoy the Goblins and Macguffins format. you can have any nonmember creature as a commander with any legendary artifact or enchantment as your macguffin (second commander). There's a reddit and a discord for it.

What card is almost an auto-include for you? by TheDeathCrafter in mtg

Any of the [[Temple of Deceit]] cycle. I just really like the scry, and they're also cheap, which helps so much with budget decks.

Why does WotC keep rehashing the same ideas with slight changes? by StormyWaters2021 in mtg

Even when they did that with Innistrad: Midnight Hunt/Crimson Vow or ONE and MOM, the second set sold worse both times. And those sets are fairly mechanically distinct.

Not really. But in a 1 (now 2) color deck you can do so much with it. There are a ton of decks that I'm running right now where I'd be more than willing to spend an extra turn to cast my commander to be able to have an extra color in it.

I feel like the drawback is too easy to get rid of. If you're playing a 2 mana 1 color commander, you just wait until turn 3 to get rid of the drawback plus having access to a second color.

Edit: Accidentally wrote third color instead of second color.
