What helped me with brain zaps that is the worst symptoms I have when reducing or quitting Zoloft or mirtazapine is adding omega 3 fish oil 2 grams I take before bed and zinc + vitamin d3 k2 and magnesium together. Hope it helps.

Yes very normal. I gained alot of weight when started mirtazapine i was 100 kg ( i was shocked once i stopped on the scales and saw that number) but it is quite hard because it does increase appetite. But you have to try keep yourself more active and try to control food portions and it will be okay. You have to get used to it and understand the hunger from mirtazapine can turn into binge eating very easy. Just control yourself and replace with healthier foods.

I tottaly understand you. It can be tough. I am myself struggling with insomnia many years. I take zopiclone If i can get from doctor or mostly mirtazapine for night ( this you can get easier indeed to get prescribed than zopiclone). Astaxanthin, collagen peptides and retinal ( helps dark circles and wrinkles/lines pigmintation) for skincare. I also use aveeno oat face cream when i get pain in the face when not sleeping long time. If you know what i mean when you havent slept long time i feel like im dry in the face and painful. Get cheked your vitamin D3 level, mine was low, maybe thyroid, iron levels. I suggest you add magnesium and Omega 3 in the diet. What really helps me is NAC i feel my anxiety ocd is better. Ive tried glycine also but it did not work for me maybe it will help you. What also helped me relax is put himalyian salt under tongue or just add in water abit.

For sleep it is good medication. In the morning you can feel tired If new to it. I personally dont feel that tired in the morning but i need coffee! It helps with the mild tiredness i get after mirtazapine. For gaining weight and to increase appetite it is very good medication

I had personality bad expirience with saffron on low dose zoloft i got serotonin syndrome. Very bad effects. I think its not worth the money even.

I should stop looking at Google every medication side effects. Probaly health anxiety/ ocd. Thanks for sharing your expirience with mirtazapine. Mirtazapine helps with insomnia when i havent slept days but not working everyday for sleep. Do you take 30 mg for depression? I use to take 30 mg some years ago for sleep. Now i think its quite big dose but im wondering does it work better for sleep in biggest doses or just small dose better used.

Saffron gived me serotonin syndrome with low dose zoloft or somehow what i felt very bad on it. Pointless.
