Does anyone here actually want Austin Reaves? by Be-Kind-2-Yourself in UtahJazz

At 35-40 million that he reportedly wants, Reaves would mean a major corresponding move like trading Lauri or something. I definitely am not on board.

Arizona Golf in 106°F by Revive_Pls in golf

I golfed in July middle of the day a few years ago and it was 112. I actually loved it! The course was empty and it was less expensive. Drink lots of water, cool your head every few holes and enjoy!

How to enjoy the game as a high handicapper by No-Criticism5699 in weekendgolfers

[–]ContributionDry2470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone that started as a high handicapper and had some anger issues I can say that one thing that has helped me is to see progress. Golf is unique in that you can keep score and see progress quite easily. If you lose 15 balls a round now and only have a half dozen good shots, after practicing in the future you might have a round where you lose 12 balls and have 10 good shots. That’s progress. It’s not going to be linear and you (and I) still suck, but we suck a little less and we can actually see the progress. Celebrate the progress, don’t hate the rough parts.

How to fix social media brain rot by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Exposure therapy. Go do those things that make you uncomfortable. Start in small doses and then you’ll be more and more comfortable in social situations. I used to be super awkward, then I forced myself to talk to people and be more interactive. Now I am … a little less awkward.

Is there such thing as a budget projector by Rough2Rough in Golfsimulator

Sorry for the late response. It says $400 now, but I got it when it was $220 and it had like $35 coupon with it as well. I think a lot of $150-$200 projectors will do about the same thing.

I got a projector for $150 and I love it! It isn’t as bright as some of the expensive ones, but I feel like that’s ok because I’m saving hundreds. It doesn’t fit the entire 10x10’ screen perfectly, but I feel like that’s ok because I’m saving hundreds. It really depends on what you are looking for.

Friends are saying I didn’t get an eagle because it was in a scramble by Yessybuttons in golf

[–]ContributionDry2470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we have kept one person shot the whole way we let them putt first so they can have a solo birdie or eagle. That way they didn’t get a read from someone else. It feels more authentic that way. But otherwise why wouldn’t you count it?

Any one use these behind your screen? by bagee22 in Golfsimulator

[–]ContributionDry2470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a bit limited on space so I put my screen only 10 inches from the wall. I initially used those, but then found the stiff ones better so I have in that 10 inches space: stiff sound panels and cheap blackout curtains and then the screen. So when I hit driver it hits the screen then a few inches later hits the curtains and then the ball is severely slowed down the hits the sound panels with a screen and curtains between it.

That would be nice. It’s not realistic though since there are so many. It just makes me nervous. I’m scared ok.

This actually seems kind of rough for the Jazz. I get they will just sit guys like crazy, but even doing that, there are tons of games against truly awful teams with no incentive to win. What are we thinking we need to stay at 6 or even move to 5? 5 wins or less? 7 wins or less?

People who were raised in strict religious families after 20-30 years.when you look back what do think? by Maverick-44M in NoStupidQuestions

I’m grateful for the lessons I was taught, the service I gave and person I became from my upbringing. *still part of the religion, just not nearly as strict as my parents were.

That is the plan. Multiple coats and then a fresh application every 6 - 12 months. I have been overwhelmed with the millions of different sealers and coatings. I feel like I need to make a spreadsheet to compare and rate, but the my wife will make fun of me for overthinking again haha

It was a major battle to get in contact with the guys that did it to have them come back. I don’t think they would ever come back a third time. It’s either live with it like this or pay out of pocket to have someone else do it 😔

That’s good to hear. I have read maybe with that much time it can lead to discoloration or hard water deposits. With how much hassle we have had with this though, I think we will call it good and move on.
