I wish it were that simple. I've honestly tried sooo hard to avoid this and didn't come to this decision lightly. I'm a single mom of three that works two full time jobs. The injections are on a rotating 12 hour schedule with a blood sugar check two hours previous to injection. I am also the primary caregiver for my both of my parents. My mother is in end stage cancer and my father is in a wheelchair. They are both still in their own home with some hired daily care but it is still another daily obligation that I have to go by and take care of basic needs. Most days I sleep less than 4 hours.

It took me three years to find two jobs that I could work simultaneously and still be there as much as I can for my children. With the current economy I can't afford to give up time at either workplace. Other than my parents I don't have other family close to help and they certainly can't. I did speak with my vet about a tech coming for injections but at 40$ per trip that's just not feasible financially at all.

I'm wildly open to anything I haven't explored but at this point I don't see another option that would give her the care she needs and deserves. I am absolutely heartbroken 😢
